  • Tuesday Roll Call 10/30/07

    Good Morning all you lovely sleeping people!
    I just got off work and home at 1:15 this am... thought I'd open things up for the day. Tomorrow is a busy day for me. I have my quilting group, and then work again 3-11 (or whenever the work gets done, like tonight...)
    I tried the fried zuccini recipe today where you dip it in egg, and parmasan and then fry it in butter... It made me very happy! lol! It was so good! Best thing I've had in a long time!
    Had a good cheat free day today, and a nice workout at water aerobics this morning. I'm going to try get a workout in before I leave for quilting. Also have to pack dinner, and snacks just in case there's nothing legal! It's a lot of work, this woe... but soooo worth it!

    Good Morning.. I am working today at the dining hall...we don't have a group we are not cooking but cleaning. So that is burning calories So I gotta remember to pack me some food.

        Good morning everyone! Nice to see so many early birds.

        Only today and tomorrow to go and I'll have a CHEAT FREE OCTOBER! I'm so proud of that...and even better, I think I've really only had a couple of weak moments where I was tempted. Progress!

        It's going to be a beautiful day here; up to 70 this afternoon which is just perfect. I'll be drinking lots of water, eating right, keeping my head in the right place and wishing you all a successful day.

          Hey Sandy, Glenda, and Hug, looks like everyone is on a positive roll this morning....I'm doing ok in maintenance, trying to balance it all out....i weighed in at 145 even this morn...so i'm happy...hugs to all of you

            Hi All!
            Everything is going well here! I am waiting for my yoga stuff to come in. I was thinking of joining the challenge I have heard about, but I have seen anything offical on it. Does anyone know where I could get some info on it? Well I am off to have another cheat free day! I have 14 so far! I think I am going to make that pork rind pizza on Linda's site! Yum Yum! Have a Terrific Tuesday!

              Good morning everyone. Roasted pumpkins seeds last night! According to the Atkins site they're 2.7 net carbs. For how many? I forgot to look!! LOL! Anyway, it's TOM and with salty seeds I would be smart to avoid the scales for a few days.

                Off to a great start today, finally feeling awake and alive... Today is my last day of induction; I need to decide if I am going to stay on it for one more week or move forward and add some more veggies...

                  Good morning, all!

                  Last night, 204. This morning, 208. This scale is INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE and I simply am going to ignore it. You'd think it would learn, huh? Well, tomorrow when I go to the gym, I'll weigh there and see what's up. It seems to be pretty accurate - or run commensurate with my scale when it is sane.

                  Yesterday I went to my school and sort of pretended to get organized, but had absolutely no energy (neither did anyone else) and after going out to lunch with a colleague, I came home and took a 2-hour nap. That smoke is really affecting us all.

                  Today, school starts, and we've got lots of stuff to do. I can't wait to see my kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                  Then, I have class tonight, and I am probably going to have to get a coffee to make it through that. Hopefully, it won't be too long - my professor is asthmatic and has been house-bound during the fire. She surely will make it a short class.

                  I have GOT to work out! Yesterday it was still too bad (I have slight asthma problems so my dr. is being very cautious) and today I have class. But tomorrow........oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy!!!!! I'm hoping that hopejoy will come with.

                  Worried about Meena-Beena. Post, girl, post!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm with you in spirit!

                  Everyone else - you're doing sooo well! I'm sorry I haven't been as "in your face supportive" as previously - I will do better.

                    Just a quick post to check in. Have lots of work in front of me, and I need to do some serious plowing through it today.

                    I made it to gym last night. It was a hard workout. I felt sooo weak. And the weights were sooo heavy. But I forced myself to do all of it, every last rep of every last routine. And I was sooo proud of myself for having done so. It's rough, but it's so worth it. And it even woke me up enough after that long drive home from work that I had enough energy to put up the Halloween lights (finally) and pack a couple of care boxes for my son. So, I got another smiley on my exercise/diet chart. Two actually!

                    And even though it's not my official weigh-in day, I got on the scales just to see the damage I did over the weekend....none. Didn't loose, but I didn't gain either. But I still need to try harder. Not gaining is good...loosing is better.
                    Everyone have a happy and successful Atkins Day!

                      Good Morning everyone! I woke up excited today as it's the day I finally get my stitches ot and my bandages off and can begin to use my foot normally!!!!!! Excercise here I come! I'm hoping I didn't lose to much stamina wise but also expecting since it's been such a long break maybe it will kick my body into a nice loss pattern for a bit!

                      Evermind I'm glad things are getting back on track for you as well ......... thats awesome that you are getting back to school and back to the gym! I know your as excited about that as I am.

                      I've been wondering how Meena is doing as well ........... I sent her a PM this morning and am hoping she might check in

                      Ok I am off I have a crazy busy day today with about 12 errands in about 5 different directions that all need to be run .......... Have a wonderful day All!

                        Nice to see so many here so early this morning. Just checking in. Walked 4 miles yesterday, and it wore me out. I can't get used to this wind, not to mention the cold and it's only down in the 60's. Trying to get my 50 miles in this month and I'm almost there.

                        Heidi, glad you're getting your stitches out! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

                          Morning everyone!

                          Well I made a good chicken dinner last night and already planned for Moo Shu pork from Linda's site for tonights dinner (though the kids are getting some pizza).

                          Scale still didn't move - but I'm in a size 11/12 jeans vs a 16 a few weeks ago - so even though it's frustrating I'll keep on.

                          My goal for November will be to walk 2 miles 5x per week and get up earlier to get it done and out of the way. I've been lazy this last week not wanting to get up and get the stuff done that needs to be done.

                          I also need to add some more flax to my meals - I'm not getting nearly enough fiber as I haven't been regular for the last week (finally hit me this morning that it's probably part of the problem of the dang scale not moving).

                          I have to bake for this weekend and the Farmer's Market - making a bunch of bread, but I'll survive - I need to get rid of some of our pumpkins!!

                            Good Morning Gang!

                            I was really good yesterday. I ate plenty of food including vegis, doubled my water and the scale rewarded me with a loss of -1.

                            Today will be more difficult and I know I will not get my lifting and aerobic in- but I will be on my feet all day moving (so that counts for something).

                              I so want to weigh myself, but only once a week (I keep repeating that to myself) And I lost weight last week so I'm trying not to get my hopes to high (even though I added excerise, but that would probably build muscle...)

                              Anyway, good day today. Going to the store on my way home, need more snow peas. Fish and shrimp for dinner with lots of butter.

                              Driver went out for an award breakfast this morning to IHOP, but I decided not to go with. Worried about hidden sugar. I'm still in Induction so I'm being really careful.

                              Yoga and treadmill this morning. Strength and treadmill tomorrow.
