  • Wed Roll Call - Halloween!

    Good morning everyone!

    I got to sleep in a little today cuz I have a periodontist appt at 8:10. Isn't the most pleasant thing in the world, but I've gotten used to it. Throws off my eating schedule a little, but I'll live. lol

    So today we all have to be diligent and not succumb to the candy thing. I don't feel tempted even though my 'handouts' are M&M's. And whatever leftovers I have (we rarely get more than 10-20 kids), I'll take to work tomorrow for my staff. I've never been a major candy fan and right now, just don't have the urge.

    It's the last day of the month...make it a cheat free, happy, healthy one.

    Good Morning Stacers!!

    No problems with Halloween candy at my house as we don't get any kids. Live in a rural area & everyone goes into town. Hard to believe it is the end of October already

    Day 3 of Induction after my slips during the weekend. Tired & headache is gone. I think I'll go a few more days & then go back to Rung 1. I discovered yesterday that the turkey on the salad bar at work isn't just turkey. Additives & salt...explains the headaches in the afternoon. No more turkey for me!

    Have a great day! Happy trick & treating with the kids & don't touch the Snicker bars!

      Happy Halloween Everyone!

      Well today I am feeling very discouraged. I have been going between 2 pounds for 2 weeks. It is driving me crazy. I even decided to go up to rung 1 and still nothing! I am trying to stay positive but it is so hard to when you don't see any significant changes in 2 weeks. I am greatful for the weight loss I have had so far. (12 pounds) and that is really the only thing keeping me going. I am trying to push through this. I am hoping my yoga dvd will come in the mail. Maybe a change in my exercise will help. Also I have been having major stomach gas pains. I don't know what is causing them but the only way I can relieve them is by drinking a TBS of apple cider vinegar. I have not been able to find the carb count on vinegar so I don't know if it is contributing to my stall or not. Well I guess I should just make real sure my diet is in order and boost up the exercise. I sure hope I can get things going again. I am not sure how much longer I can deal with this.

      Well I hope everyone has a wonderful wednesday and a happy halloween!

        Starr hang in there and keep on keeping on ............. if you keep working out and keeep eating correctly you will finally have a breakthrough! I just know it! Keep looking to see what may be contributing to your stall and I bet you'll find it!

        Hugg I see a perio too so I know thats no fun! I Hope the visit goes ok for you today!

        Glenda I'm glad to hear your getting past the flu stage and back onto the healthy feel good not be hungry stage! Gotta love ketosis!!!!!!!!

        As for me I went to my foot doc yesterday I got my stitches out only to find that I am just half way through the healing process. Now I start soaking my foot everyday for two weeks which will most likely open up the wound and cause it to drain and then heal from the inside out .......... sounds crazy to me but this apparently is normal and expected, with surgery like this that goes to the bone. I will be wearing bandages for another two weeks and also the post surgical boot any time I am outside. SO no running , no heavy walking and certainly no Eliptical .......... UGH UGH UGH!!!!!!!! Also I can't work again this weekend so I have to call my work this morning and totally tick my boss off. BUT i am sticking to my challenges and doing what I can each day. I know I can do some workon my ball as I ahve started doing some all reay to see what I can do. and my crunches and squats are staying as well .......... I got two new work out dvd's yesterday one Yoga one and one Biggest loser one so I will do what I can with those as well ........... it's going to be another two weeks of toning focus for me and then back to the rest!!!!!!

        OK thats enough whining about my dang toe ................. onward and upward!

          Morning, all.

          Well, I'm very discouraged. Just like starr, I'm bopping back and forth between the same number of pounds for several weeks now, no end in sight. TOM last came on Sept 15, which means I'm waaaay behind (nope, not pg. tubes tied).

          Basically, I feel like I have mono. Sluggish, exhausted, sleepy, unable to focus well. VERY draggy. I'm probably not eating enough but I'm too drained to care.

          I don't know if it's hormones, the smoke particles from the fire, or something else.

          I won first place in the last six week exercise challenge, and I haven't been able to exercise for 10 days in the current one - I tried yoga yesterday and was too tired so had to stop half way thru, can you believe it?

          I need to remind myself to take care of myself. There's no danger of cheating,'cause food doesn't really interest me except as fuel. But I need to rest and try to exercise, and drink fluids, and if I don't feel better in a couple of days, go to the dr.

          Sorry to whine. But you guys are my buddies and I needed to talk.

            Morning everyone! I think all of our scales have gotten together and decided not to move!

            I know I've lost inches because I look pretty damn good in my skinnier jeans. But I would like the number to change.

            I'm not giving into candy tonight. My kids are in the Halloween Parade for 4-H and then we are taking them trick-o-treating in the old neighborhood as a surprise.

                Good Morning All !

                Not only do I have Halloween and the candy .. it's also my DH's Birthday today .. there's also cake! *sigh* I have such a soft spot for sugary icing .. LOL I ordered a small cake that he and my boys could probably finish up within two servings. That way it's not hanging around the house for the weekend.

                We have had candy in the house for a week already and I have done fine with that.

                I wish you all strength and power over the urge to nibble on those treats!!

                Scale has been ok with me .. bounced back to just above where I left off last weekend... I only hope I dont stall out ... again!

                Maybe we all just need more water! I am shooting for extra water today.. I usually have 7/16oz bottles during my workday... shooting for 9. I most likely wont get any work done .. I'll be in the potty all day! LOL

                Stay strong and it will pay off! It WILL!

                  Good Morning.. I am here...was catching up with some shows I taped.. Yesterday I worked at the camp that I work at on the weekends..except this time I was helping housekeeping..Well my WHOLE body is sore..and to top it off last night during the night...TOM came to visit...GRRR two days early. I have never been two days early Back is hurting..and that explains it. I am taking it easy today.. Have a party to go later tonight at church. Its a Movie Theme Party.. I am taking a Veggie Tray and a Cheese dip... I am going to try really hard to not cheat..

                  BUT.. I have to admit..Last night (not knowing TOM was coming) I wanted to eat the WHOLE grocery store.. So in the bakery section as I was looking for some kind of goodie to take to church tonight I spotted two Haystacks (chowmein noodles with a coating) I bought them and ate them and they were REALLY REALLY good... I know I know..I was bad.. But man I felt like I NEEDED them... So its back to be good again..

                    Good morning everybody, happy halloween...I am back in the states, and have one eye opened...feel like i've been put threw a meat-grinder in the last 24 hours, and my body doesn't know where it is or what time it is! It's cold here! wow.

                      Welcome Back Jess!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's great to know your home safe and sound I can't wait to see pics and hear all about your trip! Just in time to hand out a much needed motivation post for those of us struggling with lack of excercise, lack of scale movement, cheats and struggles! And Your just the gal for the job Hows that for a little just getting home pressure

                          As far as lack of scale MOVEMENT, just look in another direction. If you keep your focus on that one location, between your toes, you are all gonna just get frustrated. Move your focus to how great you are feeling and do the thing that makes you feel great, eat right, exercise and drink that water...then let your body take are of the scales, a big drop will eventually come and totally morph you....but if you keep trying to help it happen faster, it will FRUSTRATE the livin daylights out of you!
                          Let your body take care of it's part and you focus on good eating and exercise that is managable in your life... Consistency is also an attitude!

                            Hi everyone, Happy Halloween!

                            Don't have to worry about candy, I don't have any little ones.

                            Did treadmill and strength training this morning, I can't weight for Friday to see if I've lost anything this week. I think these pants fit better than they did last week. Little worried, I added a few processed meats, no sugar or carbs, but I always worry

                            Chicken with the skin on for dinner tonight. Stay safe tonight everyone.
