      I also only have a minute this morning I have to get out the door for my glucose tolerance test. Sigh I am not even getting on the scale again until atleast mon. I knew I had to have about 75 grams of carbs/glucose for the actual test but I did not know you need to keep your carbs between 150 - 300 a day for the 3 days before the test also. Sigh my doctor only made me do two but still thats a huge jump in carbs for 3 days running. Oh well I have to have this test done so tommorow I'll just jump back in induction for a few days and get back on track. Hope everyone has a great day.

          Well I am feeling great and full of energy. I plan on using all this energy to paint my sons room. (It's long overdue) I wasn't going to weigh this morning but being the scalaholic that I am I couldn't resist...even though I am on TOM I feel skinnier so I just had to take a peek. No change on the scale but I love feeling skinnier!

            Morning everyone

            45 min on the treadmill this morning. This is my third week and I really feel like I'm getting a good schedule going.

            Already on my third bottle of water this morning

            And this is funny, they opened a new donut shop on my way into work, I don't even like donuts but I wanted one when I saw it. Why is it we always want what we shouldn't have lol?

              Good morning, all!

              Well, yesterday, smack in the middle of the day, along came TOM! Who knew? And he came with a vengeance, too! Yikes! lol

              Anyway, so I'm hoping that perhaps this will jump start a drop on the scale. For sure I already feel better - for some reason this past 5 months I've been having Tom every 6-7 weeks, instead of 4, and the interim starts feeling like "ON THE VERGE ON THE VERGE ON THE VERGE" for ENDLESS lengths of time!

              Last night I did some yoga and a gentle walk, because by golly, with the cramps from ****, who wants to run? It was good. Tonight I will run, though.

              In the meantime, I'm keepin' on keepin' on. Eating right, drinking water, and telling myself positive things. Y'all do the same, now, y'hear? lol

                Morning everyone! Feeling a little better today - still stuffy but odd since it's mainly just in the back of my throat.

                Did my crunches and push ups and getting ready for the day slowly (I took extra time in the hot shower). Need to go and feed the chickens (lift 100 pounds of feed) then off to take my kids to PE class and swimming class today.

                Maybe I'll jump in the squat challenge later today.... my butt needs some work

                No change on the scale but that's ok, I had a low carb muffin last night before bed which usually I would never do but I hadn't eaten much all day and I just needed a little something.

                  Sounds like everybody is doing well and BUSY!

                  The scale will say many things and our bodies will loose weight in their time....THEIR TIME, so I encourage everyone to continue to make a way of life for yourselves....focus on good foods, balanced exercise, and living, living with no end in sight! Coming to the place and moving past "diet mentality"...balancing busy lives and foods that work very well for our bodies....being active on a daily basis...and soon your attention will flow to other things...and our bodies, well they really know best as to when they will let go of the weight....The energy Atkins diet provides should set you free to live life!
                  I use to be chained to the diet-mentality and the scale and progress ruled my every day life, and if I felt good about all the hard work, then it was a great day, if I felt I wasn't making the kind of progress I expected, I battled with emotions and with those emotions, I usually wanted to cave in and eat, then a real battle would arise! For me, I had to learn to refocus my whole life! Working hard at work, improving things in my home, seeking to accomplish things I now had energy for, and keeping a new level of balance....
                  Just something to consider....lifestyle and diet are not the same thing!

                    Good Morning!

                    Hey there,
                    7th day back and feeling great! Yesterday evening I suddenly realized that for the first time in about a year I didn't feel the need to take a little siesta.
                    I have lots to do over the next few days and I'm sooooo glad to be feeling so full of energy again! LOVE this - don't know why I ever fell off this bacon wagon.

                    I like the way many of you seem to be exercising - I'm going to get started on that this week.

                    Hope you all have a healthy energy filled low carb day!

                      Hello Everyone!

                      Outback Jess, you hit the nail on the head!! This is definately NOT a diet for me .. it's a re-adjustment of my daily meals. With the addition of exercise, I feel that I am overall living a healthier life. No more mass produced/over processed foods, preservatives, chemicals... or additives (with the exception of what they feed our livestock now-a-days..lol ) I eat more veggies now than I ever did! How can that be wrong?

                        Good Morning STAC'ers,

                        I am happy to be back to basics: induction. The last 3-4 weeks have been hectic and I have eaten things that I shouldn't. Not terribly bad, but things that my body simply does not use well. My life will calm down and and I can focus on me again.
                        • I plan on starting the C25K very soon- maybe tomorrow or Friday.
                        • I plan on leaving for the gym in the morning at 7:30- as soon as my daughter leaves for school.
                        • I plan on planning all of my meals so that I am prepared and don't panic when I find my self starving and not any where near the house.
                        • I plan on taking control and staying in control.

                          On hold with Orho, waiting to make an appointment for my ds who broke his finger yesterday.... apparently my call is really important to them.


                          So, another day in paradise, abs are sore after doing 300 situps yesterday which I did because I forgot about them and I'm playing catch up now... he he!

                            Well I just wasted my whole evening by falling asleep reading a book!! Just eaten my dinner at 10.00pm!!! Frustrating, and I can't even blame it on work, because we had a powercut that lasted all day.
