    Good morning everyone!

    Another quick post for me today; I have a 7:15 meeting and need to prepare for a 1:00 presentation.

    I'm feeling good...still no scale movement (down of course), but feel wonderful. If nothing else, this 'go around' is teaching me more patience and realism. I should be thankful for that!

    Speaking of thankful, have you made your list of what you are thankful for lately? Thanksgiving should force us to think about that...what's your list?

    Good morning!!!!! i hope everyone is doing well!!!! no scale movement for me today either, but at least it didn't go up! last night we dumped the halloween candy from all 3 of my children into one huge bowl (there was about 10 lbs!) and i let them each pick 5 pieces to ration out over the week. i'm taking the rest to the student lounge at my college!!!! i bit a hershey kiss in half and i didn't even chew it i spit it right out!!! it tasted awful!!!! i even went food shopping with my significant other and wasn't even tempted to cheat! but i was disgusted at the junk food she was putting in the cart! i think she is trying to eat all the carbs i don't!!!!

      Things are good here, I am getting back into the routine of getting up early and establishing my old routines again....that trip to Australia wiped out all my routines, so I got up at 5am today for no reason other than to be powerful over myself and reestablish control!

        Morning! My new book came in yesterday - so I was up until about 11:30 reading it and got through part 1.

        Then as a better surprise - I lost another pound! WOO HOO

        SO I'm heading up to feed the chickens, grab a few eggs and have a cheese omlet for breakfast (it was in the book and now I'm craving one - with mushrooms too)

          Hi everyone

          Same old same old, I guess this is what they call building new habits. I'm trying to spread out my food throughout the day so I don't get so hungry at night and it seems to be working.

          45 treadmill this morning. I want to be able to go a little faster than I'll add 5 mintues a week till I'm up to an hour every other day (ish) Along with 30-40 minutes on the other day with strenght training. I find my body wants me to take a day off once or twice a week.

          No thankful list yet, Hugg, but your right I should. We always go round the table on Thanksgiving and I hate it when I can't think of anything. (I'm thankful my last video game was amazing?)

          Now, what I want to know vamps is what the hersey kiss was doing in your mouth to begin with lol. Its shiny to hear you didn't like it. I don't use splenda in half the reciepes that call for it.

          I got up at 5 this morning too, OJack. I don't know if I would've wanted to do that before this WOL.

          Congrads chicamarun on both the book and the pound. That's neat you can go get eggs without leaving your house.

            Goodmorning you guys!

            I'm in ketosis!!! ^_^ That makes me really happy and I think I have noticed a significant difference in the mirror from the first time I took my pictures until now. =P It's not much, but at least it's something that will keep me going.

            I got a long day ahead of me. I have class to go to, then I Have to leave early, go to a funeral, then head to work, then head over to a friend's to sleep over. I won't be back until tomorrow morning to post you guys an update as to how I am doing. And no, I will not cheat, I refuse to cheat. I have come so far, 3 days, and I have ketosis!

            Tomorrow will be exciting, I have my 8 hour internship at Western Med for my EMT class. Boy, am I nervous!!!! -.- But, as long as I know how to take all the vitals and what not, I think I will be fine. I mean, afterall, I Have a B ish in the class.

            Good luck you guys! And drink that water. =P

              Morning, all!

              Long time no post (since Saturday)

              I spent the long weekend in NYC with my mom, and got sick with the Virus From **** on Sunday. Made it home Monday in time to hit the dr. office, then go to bed until this morning. YUCK!

              I got up this morning and came to work, but I feel disgusting. However, I miss my students, and I have little sick leave, so here I am.

              During this icky time, I've stayed with the appropriate, legal foods, and consumed vast quantities of fluids. Naturally (I'm in a four-week rut now) the scale has not changed, but that's ok.

              What bums me is that I wasn't able to exercise at all during the wildfires and for a week or so after, and had JUST started back at the gym and running when I got sick. So now I'm not exercising again, and I know that has a lot to do with my stall. Ah, well. Probably by the weekend I'll be ok for that.

                Good morning everyone! It is a beautiful, sunshiny day here. Looks great from inside the house, but I can tell by looking at the flag that it is w-i-n-d-y. Have to take my little guy out to deliver Cub Scout popcorn later. Hopefully it will die down a bit before that.

                I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm 5 pounds down! YIPEE! I was so afraid that I wouldn't get that initial drop since this isn't my first time on this horse. I won't record it, though, until next Monday.

                My dh works for the county, and they are sponsoring the First Annual Turket Trot this year, which I'm entering. I have to weigh in next Monday. I have to commit to not gaining more than 2 pounds between now and the first of the year, exercise a minimum of 1 hour a week , and the 5 biggest losers in the county each get a $50 gift card at the end. I'll need *something* new by then!

                Hope you all have a wonderful, OP day! (Well, have a wonderful day, regardless if you stay OP - I refuse to time my sense of okayness into this (I make up words!))

                  checking in. Im on my 3rd cheatfree day,and feeling good. I dont know if im in ketosis yet or not. Im not gonna worry about it, as long as i stay under 20 carbs i know its going to happen. My weigh in day is next tuesday, so im looking forward to that.

                      Good Morning STAC'ers,

                      I am planning on another good day. PLANNING being the key word for my success. I too have been having a hard time getting back into my game after having a very hectic schedule with lots of traveling... I like to blame the schedule but the fact is I haven't taken responsibility for my self.... It is so easy for me to slide back into the "EASY" life. Planning is not easy- it takes thought, preparation and implementation....

                      I am lazy by nature but I don't want to be. I am working on changing, and one day I will be a powerful planner

                      Today I plan on drinking lots of water (I am still a little bloated). I discovered a new diet soda and have been having one or two every night.... Diet Sierra Mist with Cranberry.... I love it, but I need to lay off it. I think it might be causing me to retain fluids.

                      I plan on walking/biking for a mile or three. I did try and start the C25K but my hip said NO. So I need to go slow and I will work on my strenght training (I seem to get better loss's from the weights). I did my upper body last night and 2 miles on the bike and 1 mile on the TM. I will work my lower body today.

                      I plan on trying another of Linda's wonderful low carb dinners along with one or two of her great vegi side dishes. I think it is fun to try new recipes.

                        Just got back from taking DM to eye doctor appt.
                        Yesterday went quite well, but nothing to show on the scale yet.

                        Not sure what's for dinner tonight, but I'm thinking chicken breast and boccoli will see.

                        Off to take the dogs for a walk.
