    Happy Friday!!!

    Nice surprise on the scale this morning...another .5 loss! I'm anxious to get to the double digits, but it's a-comin'! Makes me VERY motivated to say the least.

    I have to ask a question...isn't this Kentucky Derby thread that landed here a few weeks ago really a journal? I'm confused by it.

    Good Morning...YAY on another weight loss.. I am just maintaining right now and its my fault.. I am very stressed about somethings and that is no excuse.. I am working all weekend also.. Lots of temptations

      Good morning! I'm confused by the Derby thread too. I'm so close to onderland and yet I seem to be gaining instead of losing. Don't know why. Not eating enough to gain. I think my scale is just resistant to single-digits. It's fighting back. I will win!! Dh is talking about doing Atkins again. He warned me that he'd need to go to the gym several nights a week. Hmmm. When am I supposed to walk? It's hard with small children. It seem that there is only time for one of us to exercise!!

        Good morning Stacers! It is snowing this AM...quite beautiful. I have the day off from work which is wonderful. I'm cooking for DH to take stuff to deer camp. Then going to my sewing room to work on a few projects. Have to rest my knee this weekend per the doctor.

          Hi eveyone!

          Well I am plugging along....I had a bit of a blip on Wednesday but I am so back on track which feels great. My weight went up a couple pounds cause of the blip but it is going back down. I just wish it would go down past 190. This is where I lost it the last time I did Atkins and it is frustrating being at this number. I am sure when I was gaining this weight I was at 190 for a while which is probably why it is taking so long to get past it now...it's a comfort zone....I have just gotten the 1st biggest loser dvd and I tried it yesterday and I love it! I got it from my mom...she has had it a couple years and it was still in the package....seesh! Anyways my thighs and bum are killing my so I think I'll do some yoga today and get some really good stretching in. I am just trying to push into those 180's...I want that so bad!!!!

            I"m in the same boat Star, I so want to get out of the 190's. Lost tons the first week, a little the second, nothing the third and fourth. I really hope after TOM I get a big whoosh, or even a little whoosh every week for three weeks in a row.

            I've been a going just a little bit faster (.1) everyday on the treadmill, this morning I also went up on the reps in strength training. And as always, tons of water.

            I'm glad everyone seems to be having a good friday (please, I don't want any snow lol).

              Morning everyone! Scale is the same - no biggie.

              I talked to my mother last night about t-giving which is at her place and she was surprisingly very cool about me bringing some stuff that I could eat. Though she did mention that it was only t-giving.... <sigh> I agreed but said I don't need to blow a 20lb loss and she agreed. Only thing I'm making is mock mashed potatoes and then I'll bring some homemade mac & cheese for the kids (for some reason my mom sticks peppers in it which the kids won't eat!).

              My husband and I have a "date" tonight which is very exciting. We don't get to go out too often at all. The local rec center is having a "kids night" which I signed up for months ago so he and I could have a couple of hours to do and do something. It was before Atkins - but I'm even more excited I think now since I would just really like to go to dinner and have a new atkins meal made for me

                Hi all -

                Lousy night with stuffed up nose and cough. ICKY POOH!

                Scale the same - this is getting ooooooolllllllldddddd!

                One more day and then I have a week's vacation! Boy do I need it!

                I'm just slogging along - here, but not "present", if you know what I mean. Going thru the motions of teaching and being a member of our household. I am considering having my nose amputated - wonder if that would help? Dayquill and Nyquill sure don't! lololol.

                  Checking in today. A cold front came in last night, so its pretty chilly and i havent got my heat hooked up yet....I will make a call to the gas company today and try to get that going....Well Saturday will be a week since attempting atkins, but i cheated on saturday sunday and monday. Tueday was my first cheat free day. Should i wait to get on the scale til Tuesday? Have a great day everyone

                    Morning Everyone! It's a nice day here - cool, partly cloudy, but a little on the windy side still.

                    Glenda - I'm so ready for snow! The first chance in our forecast looks like Thanksgiving. We moved this fall and have an incredible sledding hill in our back yard. Can't wait to use it!

                    Sandy - hang in there ... keep your eye on the prize ... you can get through this, really!

                    Evermind - I just learned the neatest thing for coughs, in particular, though dh now swears it works for colds in general. At night rub Vikcs on the bottom of your feet and put on warm socks. We learned that in church choir as we were getting ready for our Veteran's Day program and several people were coughing a lot. You can also do it in the morning, but you might leave a trail of scent, so beware!

                    Well, have a great day, everyone. We are off to find a house cat - caught a mouse in the Doritos bag (ds and dh eat those!) this morning - on TOP of the fridge! That wakes you up for SURE! Too bad carbs don't kill mice ....

                      Good morning everyone!! i got on the scale this morning.....back to 190! BOOOOO! i've decided to cut out all salt, and bacon. i feel like i have 10 gallons of water in my body. my fingers are all puffy ect. maybe by monday i will have a woosh! that would be a nice surprise! after seeing 187.5 just days ago i'm disappointed to say the least. i also kinda went hog wild on the sugar free russel stovers yesterday...i was just craving something sweet, so i figured .5 net carb candies were better than swiss cake rolls!!!!!! but it's out of my system and i feel more in control today!! i hope everyone has a good weekend!!!!!!!!

                        Grocery shopping today for DM & ourselves. At least I'll get my exercise in.
                        No change in scale this AM. I'm a very slow loser, so I wasn't expecting anything.

                          Scale is not my friend either right now.... no loss for me a an age in a half! But I'm still here plugging along.
                          Planning to go do some christmas shopping.
                          Having my ONE cup of coffee this morning black... no splenda or cream... tweak, tweak...

                            Morning eveyone.... Happy Friday!! I've dropped my splenda too, and upping the water like crazy. I've actually dropped a pound and a half, but it was weight I lost and gained back. This up and down scale nonsense is driving me crazy too.

                            My hubby and I were planning on taking off for Mississippi to go home for Thanksgiving tomorrow, but for the first time in forever dh is sick He never, ever gets sick, so I'm a little concerned. We can get there whenever, or not at all, I just want him better.

                            If anyone has any great recipes for desserts, or veggies they're planning on making for Thanksgiving, please pass them along. I could use them. TIA

                              i am back down to 168 after a small gain last week, but i think that is because i had coffee yesterday and just the diuretic effect. it is certainly not from the nonexistent exercies i have been doing. i have just been so run down lately! have today off, thank goodness...
