    Morning Everyone!

    Woke up with a headache this morning. But I'm up! It's Sunday so not a lot planned

    So I'm off - really late to let out the chickens and collect our duck eggs!

    I have a bunch of hard boiled eggs - I think I might make some of those things where you wrap the egg in sausage and fry it

    I'm up early, too. Not with a headache, but with cramps. Tom has arrived. Not expected, but what the heck! lol

    Today I have to go grocery shopping and after that, I'm staying put. My hip and lower back are still bothering me, so I'll probably have to take a muscle relaxant, but I want to get some final schoolwork done. It's my last big push.

    I tried on some of my size 14 jeans yesterday and they fit....snuggly. Woo hoo! I'm definately getting smaller - just three weeks ago, I couldn't zip them at all, even if I lay on the floor.

    Yesterday, I treated myself to a hair appt and got highlights. It's SO important to give ourselves a reward, a non-food reward, periodically. We're all working really hard, and this isn't just about losing inches or pounds, it's about completely changing our lives and our relationship to food and to our bodies.

    We've all used food as reward and as punishment, and the result has been a pretty gunked up, highly-processed, refined flour and sugar body. Now that we're cleansing our bodies of all of the unnatural stuff, and filling it with fresh veggies and staying in ketosis to burn the rest of the fat, we need to treat ourselves better mentally, as well.

    So, today, recognize your self. Recognize the good you've accomplished, acknowledge your successes and your commitment, and reward yourself. Something small. Don't break the bank. You've got a lot of rewards to hand out over the next year!

      great suggestions, evermind!! i also am finally zipping some jeans that were too small a few weeks ago. getting comfortably into some size 10's, which i haven't seen since high school.

      off to church, then to go on a long walk,. i can't wait until i can run again!!

        Good Morning everyone! Its a dark and dreary rainy day here in Washington so it looks like I'll be doing the treadmill thing again today. Doing good resisting temptation this weekend even though my hubbie wanted to go out for ice cream yesterday.....aggghhhh - sometimes he is my worse struggle with this diet. He's a bad influence...lol!!

          GOod Afternoon Everyone!

          I have had a busy weekend and it is not over yet! SOon though! I really enjoy my weekends but I can never stay in my routine of drinking my water. i need to work on that! Things are going smoothly but TOM is here and I have been crampy and have a bit of a headache. Also My fingers are wicked swollen...must be water so I am definately not going to weight until a couple days after my TOM is over.

          We are expecting the first big Snow storm tomorrow so we will see! ( They always predict the first one to be big and then it ends up being nothing) Have a good one!!

            grrrrr dreary here in Pa too. we have a little snow but it's not too bad. TOM came unexpectedly but hey i can look forward to this swelling in my hands and face going down soon! woooo hoooo! my kidneys are still killing me. i thought this antibiotic would be helping by now. i don't think it's strong enough!!! have a good day all!!!

              Torrential rain in the UK today, quite amusing watching my cat trying to get across the garden without getting her feet wet!! But I still went to the gym and didn't use the weather as an excuse to skip it.

              I think this week I have finally reached the mental corner where Atkins has now become my way of life again.
