      Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend. My weight is down two more pounds so I am really psyched. Was able to run friday, saturday, and sunday. I can't believe the energy surge I have had since eliminating the sugar from my diet. I had forgotten how great it feels.

        Sweets...my weight loss stalled for a few weeks after induction (I lost 6.5 in induction) but my November was great, I lost a total of 7.5 pounds. But October was a dud, I only lost 2 pounds the whole month. It was so frustrating...keep at it though!

            Sweets, don't give up! There are soooo many factors... ie. water, hormones, TOM, salt intake, constipations! lol! Just keep at it and you WILL succeed! I gave up the first time around thinking it doesn't work for me... well, this time I'm down 40 lbs! but it's not an overnight thing... it takes time and adjustment! It works if you work it!

            Plsmachic Hey! Great job with the singing! Good for you trying out for American idol... my dd tried out for 'so you think you can dance!' last year... what a fun experience! Good for you for putting yourself out there! You have a beautiful voice and you are beautiful too! Glad you're back here!

              Hello Everyone!

              Mid-way through my 3rd day back on induction and doing well!! Yeah me!!

              I wish I could weigh myself and get an accurate starting weight, though... because we're remodeling our house, most everything is packed away in boxes. We're going to have to find it soon because my husband uses it to weigh the mortar and grout for our tiling jobs; perhaps a more practical use for the darn thing then flashing a number at my face! No... I'm one of those people who like to graph my weight loss... I find it really motivating AND I can see patterns and things that help me a great deal when I compare days with my food journal. So... either we find the scale or I go out and purchase a new one. Given the state of my home, however, I think I'll opt for a new scale!!

              Sweets - hang in there... I suspect you're doing better then you think! Take a look at your food journal for hidden carbs just in case

              Hopejoy - it makes a real difference following the plan AND being at home, doesn't it?! Sounds like you did a pretty good job while at your SIL's place. You really express positive energy about getting back on track with the plan and exercise. What a great inspiration!

              Everyone sounds like they're doing really well... a few blips, a few successes... and lots of determination. Terrific! I'm so glad to be on this journey with all of you!!

                Loved the American Idol song Nice job! You've got guts girl!

                Had lunch with my mom - splurged on a glass on red wine. Was hoping since it was supposed to be sulfite free (which I THOUGHT is what I had issues with) my face wouldn't turn into a beet - however it did and now I have a headache from that. The salad rocked - so much I will be skipping dinner with only a light snack. I also took a bite of the b-day dessert they brought out - but only the whipped cream topping, I made my mom eat the ice cream. Sometimes I swear she just doesn't get it. But the bite made her feel better I think and sometimes you have to do that for you mother.

                  Tangotori, that's a cute name. Do you tango? I think you should definately get a scale pronto! All the wt you're losing now, you won't even know you lost! lol! I need mine too for motivation. Thanks... glad I'm coming across possitive. I had a great walk/run today... have been very consistently walking occasionally running... today I tried to walk up one street, then run down the same street to make it equal... my neighborhood consists of multiple culdesacs... ended up running more than I walked... which took effort, but felt really good too. I actually liked doing it that way instead of doing the watch thing... and was happy that it took less than an hour which is another reason for running. takes less time... and pushes the metabolism harder... I need both! Anyways, feeling stoked about my walk/run and wanted to share.
                  Good Job sticking to plan on the lunch...chickamrun... that's pretty hard when it's your MOM's birthday!
                  Today does seem like a really good day for some reason...

                    Thanks for the complement - Tangotori is a special nickname that my Dad gave me. Yes, I used to dance around the house as a little girl and, of course, tori comes from Victoria. I've always loved dancing, but haven't done it in such a long time! I hope to add some dancing into my workout ... but I'm sticking to walking for now. Maybe I'll be able to incorporate a run into my walk like you do!

                      Yes, by a few pounds. I would be 201.5 one day (the weight I was at after induction) then 199.5 the next and then back up. It was very frustrating.

                      When the scale finally started going down and staying down I was so happy. I think I just had to get past the post-induction stall.

                      I think it's important you remember when you started...it is only a couple weeks ago! I have been on for about 10 weeks and have lost 16 pounds which I think is a healthy speed of loss. When I first started I wanted to lose so fast but then I remembered it was my own damn fault I gained the weight and I needed to respect my body's right to take it off at a reasonable pace.

                        That's good advice blue. It takes a while to gain it and even longer to lose it... slow is a good thing... it's more permanent.

                          sorry for the late post! had a good day. have had a wierd craving for coffee which i have never in my life enjoyed. so i had 2 cups!! and boy, does caffiene really suppress the appetite....did n ot eat a bite all day. sitting down to some egg drop soup now, tho!

                            Hi gang,

                            I sooo appreciate all the comments!! it really helps. I went for dinner tonight to a buffet.. only had the caesar salad and the meats.. roast beef, ham and turkey. I am wondering if there was sugar in the salad... I feel sooooooo sick.. like I have the worst flu!! Joints and muscles hurt like crazy!! I knew I should have asked the ingredients in the salad.. it was already mixed with dressing I didn't have that much.. but that has to be what it is.. I can't even explain how horrible I feel!!! I hoping I can sleep it off and get back on tomorrow.. a huge reminder why I hate going off this WOE ....

                            Unless it's just the flu I am getting... but I was perfectly fine before eating!!! Anyways.. I hope you all had a great day...
