    Good Morning Stacers!!

    It's hump day...Friday is just around the corner. I have noticed this week that when I'm over tired I have fleeting moments of thinking about straying from my WOE/WOL. It would be so easy to just grab something quick to eat...a muffin or a bagel for example. I've been exceptionally tired from lack of sleep due to our trip to PA. I was on call last night & got called in at 0200 for an emergency case. We were done at 0530 & I knew I needed to come home to eat a decent breakfast. The danishes in the cafeteria might call my name!!! Refueling & back to work for awhile.

    I'm rambling...sorry. So bottem line is in taking care of ourselves we need to make sure we are getting enough sleep!!!

    Oh, yah, I know all about that, Glenda! I have a friend who's a recovering alcoholic, and she says she watches out for HALT (hungry, angry,lonely,tired)because that's when the temptations come into her head. (22 years, never succombed, bless her heart!)

    Anyway, I notice when I'm pissed off about something, or when I'm just dog tired, I start thinking about carby food. Partly because it's so darned EASY to get and eat - no cooking required, no peeling, chopping, etc. And partly because it is my "go to" source of comfort.

    Well, now I know that reading a good book, taking a run or walk, having a high-fat snack, and doing yoga all work better.

    I went back to the dr. yesterday and he says that the after effect of our car accident is that I have bursitis in my hip. No running or twisting for a MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAACK! This is going to be tough. I'm just grateful that dd and I didn't have worse injuries, and I keep thinking about that rather than kvetch about the pain and not being able to exercise.

    But today will be a good day. Have yummy lunches packed, we're doing a cool project with my students at school today, and life is wonderful.

      Good morning all!

      Well I made it through day one of being back on track and I feel great! I know that a couple more days and I will be right back in the state of mind I need to be to push forward. The snow has stopped and kiddo and huby have gone off to school/work so I am back to my normal routine. Thank Goddness! Well I am going to cook up some breakfast!! Have a legal day!!

        Morning! Woke up to snow...... ugh. I don't mind the snow itself - except I have to drive 2 hours today with my trailer on the back of the truck and not happy about doing it in the snow.

        I'm about to have breakfast and make myself some coffee to warm up. Need to decide what we are having for dinner tonight as I was planning to stop by Micky D's for the kids and grab a cheese burger - but with the snow up this way I will probably just come straight back. For me it's easy - it's the kids I usually need to make something extra for and for a 4 hour round trip and behaving I usually like to spoil them a little

          Good Morning!

          Nice to see everyone trying to stay on track!! I have been struggling to get to the gym. I have been great about my foods but.. the gym is another story.. LOL

            Good Morning.

            I have been soooo sick!! Flu/Cold... I have eaten once in 2 days.. I know I need to eat.. but can't.. I forced a cheese string in this moring!!!! hopefully I will get better soon and can eat again!!!

              LOL... I am having the same problem... I can't seem to get myself to the gym... Need someone to slap me awake, and push me to the gym!

              On the bright side, I brought my gym bag today to work... So, today is going to be the start of my gym binge.... LOL

                  Good Morning!!!!
                  Well, my kick butt Monday and Tuesday caused my hip pain to return... It kept me awake a lot of last night... I think it is due to Potassium and Calcium and Magnesium loss which happened during the summer... I did take my suppliements, but not til the pain was already there. It'll take a while to go away. (from past experience) sigh! Always something!
                  I spent some time last night reading DANDR. I got alot out of it.
                  Also talked to a girlfriend last night on the phone that just started Atkins last week and has lost 5lbs... she's counting carbs, and trying new recipes...etc... I'm so proud of her and happy that I inspired someone to do this too.
                  I'm hoping she'll log in here.
                  Anyways, I'm pretty happy doing my kick butt program... I am getting back into ketosis and losing the cravings... I'm hoping by Friday I'll be at my siggy wt. That's the day my dd comes home from London!!!!! I can't wait to see her!!!
                  Today I have to go to work. It's been so great having 2 days off to putter around the house and focus on me/my diet/ my exersize... etc...

                    Good Morning everyone!!

                    I just found out yesterday that my husband might be transferring with his company to Reno, Nevada! It was exciting news and really, really hard to stay on plan last night - but I did it. My dh and son had icecream to celebrate and I went on the treadmill...lol! I know this is going to be a stressful time with the holidays and knew I would feel terrible if I went off plan. Slammed at work today...wish I could post more...

                        I'm having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day and I don't know why *sigh* Although I must say, this is the first time this has happened since I started this WOL. Now that I think about it, my mood seems to have improved with with rest of me...just not today lol. I'm just ready for this day to be over.

                        Strength training and treadmill this morning, which is good for me. I'm kicking butt on my water challange, and eating completely cheat free since I started, more good for me stuff. Having tons of fun with my newest video game, reading Dune again, everything's going good, just must be one of those days.

                          Good Morning STAC'ers,

                          Yes- Happy Hump Day. I wish it was Friday. I have a ton of work to do today and a Food Show tomorrow. I had a good work out yesterday and I am a little but sore- not bad but good.

                          Liz- I hear you on the hip pain. I fight it constantly. It is getting old- I am thinking about going back to my doctor and asking for an MRI but I am afraid they will just want to throw more drugs at it and I am sick of the drugs. Mine starts in about 10 minutes into my walking/jogging and stays with me all night.

                          Woofy- Ditto to what Evermind says.

                          Sweets- You need to feed your body even when you are sick- drink lots of water and eat at least some fatty snacks.

                          Evermind- sorry to hear that you are off for a month. You might try some strenght training on your upper body- arms -chest- upper back. I do alot of this because of my hip/low back pain.

                            thanks Alaska girl... yeah, I went to the doctor last summer and she gave me a perscription for something that has the side effect of causing stokes and heart attacks so decided 'it ain't worth THAT!'
                            The DANDR does address the muscle cramp issue though and I really think that is the cause... low calcium, magnesium and potassium... my doctor wouldn't prescribe the higher dose potassium, so just taking the over the counter stuff... but it does seem to help eventually.
                            I dropped back down to rung 1 this week, and think that's the reason... He says you lose those minerals... and suppliments are key...
                            Anyways, enough about me!

                              Good Morning Everyone.. I still have 3 minutes to post before its Noon...lol Well I am really pissed off about something with my husband... And believe me I want to just pig out on anything.. BUT I AM NOT.. I CAN CONTROL ME! Last night I had the munchies and I just went to bed.. Its Day 4 and I am doing great...

                              Scale has really really been nice to me.. Sunday I was 264, Monday 260, Tuesday 257, and today 254! I will take it I am 2lbs to my original lowest.. Before someone gets upset about that.. I just got rid of TOM so that was the big issue

                              I did get to go to water aerobics this morning.. We didn't use the Lap Pool cause its still not working right but we got to use the Family Pool that they keep warmer then the Lap Pool and it felt good to be in there
