I had great success with this WOL the first time around a couple of years ago -- I lost about 30lbs. on an extended induction and really enjoyed it! Life circumstances happened and I went back to old behaviors. Since then I have attempted Induction a couple more times, but life events again interrupted my progress......I take absolute full responsibility for my bumpy road here and know that this WOL works if you work it! I am writing to hear from others who have had several "starts" - how was your weight loss at, say, attempt number 3 or 4? I'm just looking for some inspiration here......thanks so much everyone for being here!

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
This is my third committed time around. After my second go around, I started induction about 10 times but never made it past a week. Now I've been going since the end of July.
I've lost 35 lbs and I feel fantastic. The key is to get into the groove, exercise regularly, and move from induction to OWL so that you don't get bored with the food. It doesn't slow your weight loss and it's the way to do this woe - otherwise, some of us will just stop suddenly and start eating whatever, and quickly gain back what we lost plus some.

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
This is probably my 4th attempt - but only the 2nd one I've taken seriously. So far 20 lbs down and a ton of inches according to other people (they see it in my face).
I've found that doing the roll call in the morning is a huge thing to helping me. Sounds odd - but it's a daily routine and honestly I don't want to tell you all I fell off the wagon or anything negative (besides wanting to kill the scale some days). The people around me aren't eating the way I am - but I can control myself and by coming here I have my own lil "fan group" who won't say "well I told you so" if by chance I did cheat... very positive people here and that helps a lot.
SO just jump aboard and start posting etc. Have some fun with it and my biggest thing - LEARN TO COOK
That way the food tastes really good and other people will eat it too and look at you shocked when they find out you can eat it as well

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
Welcome & fantastic questions.
This is my 2 serious attempt. I've lost 23# and lost 42". This time my journey is about taking care of myself physically but more importantly my emotional & spiritual health. I'm finally at a place in my life where I can examine & deal with numerous issues which lead to the weight gain.
The biggest help to me has been coming to ADBB daily. The friendship is priceless. There is no judgement just understanding & compassion.
Hope you find what you need!

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
hi there,
this is probably my 10th or 15th time around, but only my 4th serious time where i stuck with it. luckily, i never really gained back more than 5-7 pounds when i was 'off plan', but this time the wt is coming off for good. i did NOT post on this board any time other than this one, and i echo what everyone else said....it has made ALL the difference. posting every day keeps me focused and hearing what everyone else has to say keeps me interested and on plan. and the supportive, positive comments from everyone are not only inspiring, they are comforting and will help you through.
have lost over 60 pounds, and never had an easier time than this time with the board for support. you can do it!!HW223/CW150?/GW135

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
This is a multiple attempt time for me too all though only the second time I have succeeded at keeping to the plan and making it successful for me and I would have to say the key to that has been this board. I need the daily imput and inspiorations that come from folks just like me who are working towards goals and making them realities. I need the challenges to keep me accountable and I need the support. It sounds like you have the rest of what you need and now that you have found this board I bet you can stick to it successfully!!!!!!
Oh and for losses I have lost 50 lbs and gone down from a size 22 to a 14 ........ 12's are just around the cornor I can get them up and zipped Ijust can't breathe!!!!!
Welcome!

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
Hey there! So glad you are with us. I agree with all my friends above...and for me, coming here every day has taken me this far. I've been at a good weight now since april and I measure that by a pair of size 6 jeans...The daily interaction with ADBB is truly a key to my success...and wanting it more than anything else.74 8/1/06

Re: Wisdom Please.....4th Time Around....
Thank you so much everyone for sharing your experience and words of encouragement - I'm ready to go for it! I've just gone thru the frig and cabinets and thrown out all of the "low fat, low calorie, super high carb stuff" --buh bye! Hello induction food! I'll be coming back regularly from here on out and hope to be able to share my own words of encouragement to the group.
