    Morning everyone!!

    I agree with the I want to see results now theme. And the I'm broke theme, can't wait for tax return (I had them take extra out this year so I know I'm getting a ton back)

    Same thing with pizza, chocolate etc. You never get bored, it just tastes good and is easy to get.

    Good luck Sandy with all the temptation. And I hope money gets better. I live on my own and I can remember a time I didn't have enough money for food so I lived on popcorn for a couple weeks (1 bag of popcorn is like a dollar and it lasts for a few days)

      morning yall,
      will write more later, but jess great starting post!! sandy, i totally commisserate with wanting the PB balls...i usually make those and this year i didn't b/c i didn't trust myself not to eat one.
      i made a mini goal today, but i am not feeling very good about it b/c i didn't make it by eating well or by exercising....it is only from the mono. i have been eating terribly (i.e. not eating) b/c my appetite and energy are so low. trying to eat soup. but happy to have made a mini goal just the same. don't update my ticker until i have been at current wt for 3 consecutive days, so i am actually lower than my current ticker number. funny how i feel like i 'cheated' somehow from being sick.

        Good Morning everyone ............. Jess thank-you for your post and for your encouragement! While I didn't plan the skiing to lose weight I definitly anticipated a weight loss once I knew how hard it was ......... LOL and I got one momentarily then poof it was gone ......... I'm totally counting on it being my muscles holding fluids and expecting a wooshie soon .......... I just so want to bust through this plateau I am on .........

        Sandy you stick to this girl!!!!!! You just got back on track and you know how difficult that was after your last slip up ........... keep that struggle first in your mind when ever you think about cheating .......... is it truely worth it? DO you want to struggle like that or worse this next time? Thinking that way often keeps me from taking that step over the edge ......... you were up what 6 lbs????? and you got it off again do you really want to lose that 6 lbs Again????? Or do you want to lose 6 new pounds????? FOCUS!!!!!!!! You can do it!!!!!!!! We are here for you 100% and more!!!!!

        OK I need to scoot Olivia and I have an appointment with the mall ........ LOL it's become our daily walking place since the snow covered sidewalks are not working for us. It opens at 10 so I better get my butt in gear and get moving!

            Good morning.

            Thanks to all who heard me out yesterday. I am feeling much better today, and am learning to let it go.

            I have an office event to attend tonight... Plan to stay on track.

            I have been stuck at 145 for about a week (TOM's doing), and this morning my scale registered 143... So, I am quite happy.

              Morning Everyone!

              Yesterday, I had an appointment with a trainer at my gym - I wanted to have my body fat taken. Soooooooooooooooo, it was 18% - normal I guess - although of course, i would like it to be less She also said my body age is 33 - a year less than my actual age - I'll take it (for now). Still keeping on, keeping on but......
              I've been stuck at 116-117 (I'm 5'ft tall) for over a month - seriously sad. I work out like crazy - I know I'm not eating any illegal foods - I've never cheated - I scarf down lotts of veggies, inhale major water (around 100oz a day) etc... I just don't know why I'm not losing anymore... I do work out A LOT - and sure, you might tell me it's the muscle vs. fat thing - I am just a flippin slave to the scale and I want to see lower numbers - Silly, 'eh?
              Any advice?

                Good Morning everyone!

                Thanks again Jess for the amazing post - it is exactly what I needed to read this morning. Two years ago I was in amazing shape, I was 20 lbs lighter than I am now and did triathlons and finished my first marathon. I worked out 6 days a week and although I was in the 130 lb range I was a size 2 because of so much muscle... So now that I have started to take care of myself again and eat right I am wanting results IMMEDIATELY. I have to keep reminding myself that this is going to take time...that it took 2 years to get out of shape and overweight and I am not going to be healthy overnight. Persistance pays off and this board has been so encouraging and really helping me be accountable for what I put in my mouth....

                please remember that colleenieweenie....muscle weighs alot more than fat but takes up so much LESS space!!! In your family pic you look amazing and its how you feel not what the scale says. I'm one to talk though....I'm a total scale addict...LOL!

                Hope everyone has a great Tuesday! Thank you all for your posts - it reminds me that I am not the only one struggling with cravings and that together we can all become healthier, stronger, and happier.

                  Good Morning! Lots of good stuff here today!
                  Having coffee, just got off the phone with the spanishIII teacher, and getting ready to get out there and walk/run... depending on if dd joins me again. If it's just me I'll run, otherwise it's walking...
                  Well, yesterday I felt skinny again... it felt great!!!! all my work from last week seemed to be paying off... extra workouts, pushing myself harder, rung 1, etc... then we went to lunch and listening to my dd telling me how she doesn't want to diet, she should be able to lose wt just cutting back... I think it made me do a quick turnaround... and I ate my bread!!! (it came with the salad and soup, sourdough) then at dinner I ate some tortilla chips with our dinner!!! then caved in and had a cookie... so did a complete nose dive! boom! smack! arg! cookie made me feel a little sick too... So, today... back to rung 1. Scale says 173, so am down from last week but not yet at my ticker... hopefully next week...
                  I think I'm doing the same thing with the exersize thing... using that more mentally as my hope of losing wt than actually following plan. I read that thing yesterday about self sabatage. I do this to myself. Noone is doing it to me.
                  I've got my refrigerator stocked with veggies, meats, cheeses and all kinds of good stuff so no more cheating. arg! Sorry guys. I screwed up again. Because I'm a carboholic.

                    Afternoon all! I think I'm obsessed with the scales. I've been on re-induction for eight days cheat-free and I'm stuck at 112.5lbs. I simply don't understand it and it is discouraging. I lost 11lbs the first time I did induction all the way through. I don't have much farther at all to go till I'm at goal. I just want to get there already. Maybe I need to move up to OWL? Any thoughts?

                      Good Morning STAC'ers,

                      Very good posts today. I may not be loosing right now but I am hecka better off than I was back in August when I found my way back to Atkins.

                      I will be consistant and fair with my self and most important realistic. Rome was not built in a day and I did not get my self up to 230# in a day. It was years of abuse, it is only fair to think that it could take considerable time to get close to my final goal.

                      I am finally feeling human again. I do not like being sick. I haven't eaten to good when it was most important to. I will be going shopping today- cleaning my fridge out and heading into induction for 3 or 4 days to clean my system out and get back on track.

                      I plan on attending the gym today for a light work out and having a sit in the sauna to help cleanse my system.

                        Just a reminder about the success you can expect during induction ......... it is said that you should or could expect to lose about 10% of what you need to lose during the two weeks of induction. So if you are just 20 lbs from your goal you would only expect to lose about 2 lb during induction ........ Kind of puts it in perspective huh????? We all want to go back to induction to do what it did for us the first go around when we had so much more to lose ....... ( self included here) I lost 9 lbs on induction which was darn close to 10% because I had 80 to lose, but now I only have 30 to go so induction for two weeks would probably bring me about a 3 pound loss.

                        Also Induction is meant to be a shock to your system because you were eating so many of the wrong foods everyday. If you just step back a few rungs to induction your body isn't so shocked right???

                        Just some thoughts I had because I am so feeling all the same things everyone is posting here about their scale frustrations.

                          Today I am happy because the scale finally went down a pound. I know a one week stall is nothing but am I the only one who becomes concerned that it might turn into a permanent stall...lol.

                          I also had my first person mention that I was "wasting away". That was so motivating that I feel no urge to eat the chocolates that are sitting in the staff room. 'Tis the season to test willpower!

                            I am posting this here and I will go and post it on the dessert part of the board..Doesn't it sound yummy? Do you buy Unsweetened chocolate at the grocery store or a health food store?

                            CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE BALLS




                            1 - 8 oz. pkg. softened cream cheese
                            1/4 c. Splenda
                            2 T. cocoa
                            1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
                            3 pkgs. Splenda
                            1/2 T. butter
                            1/2 T. cream




                            Mix cream cheese, Splenda and cocoa until well blended. Refrigerate about 1/2 hour to set. Melt chocolate, Splenda, butter and cream, cool slightly. Roll cream cheese into small balls, dip in melted chocolate mixture. Refrigerate until set.

                              I can relate to you Sandy this weekend I will be making tamales and buenelos with my mother and also starting to make sugar pull candy for my kids teachers but hey gotta look at it this way at least I have five little taste testers in the house and cannot forget hubby! I will make him a little more tubby!-LOL
