  • Wednesday Roll Call 12/19

    Shoot, I'd have thought there'd be a dozen postings by now on a Wed. roll-call thread! Who'd have thunk it?

    So it's hump day, and things are going fine this last week before my month-long vacation. There are plenty of treats around my school, but nothing I cannot resist so far, which is a good thing.

    I'm sort of floating thru this week, no stress now that I'm done with the semester at the university, and most of my holiday stuff is done or getting done. I just want my vacation to start!

    I know this is a rough spot for a lot of people, what with goodies floating all around in front of our faces, and the holiday rush and stress making us more vulnerable. Remind yourselves of your goals and objectives, keep this woe a focus and a priority (it's the best gift you can give yourself!) and all will be well. Fallen off the wagon? Climb right back on.

    Celebrating feeling better this AM!! No more chicken noodle soup for me. My first venture out will be to the grocery store to stock up on food...the cupboards/frig are bare. Will be making some breakfast quiche & something good for dinner. I must make sure I don't over do it...conserve the energy as I go back to work tomorrow.

      Hey Everyone!

      Well I went shopping yesterday and tried on some new jeans. I was expecting to go down a size and....I DIDN'T!! I have lost so many inches and I have not really changed in my clothes size. That was kinda upsetting. I was so looking forward to getting into a smaller size. I mean I didn't even go down in bra sizes. Anyway I guess I was just really stretching my current size to it's limits. (I probably should have been a size bigger than I was.) I have become ok with it though. I am sure if I was wearing the size I was suppose to when I began I would be down at least 1 size so that is good. All my pants are real loose that I own so that is good. Maybe I have always worn my clothes too small and I just don't really know what it is like to have clothes fit right. (okay I am rambling) Anyways, I am happy I am losing weight (the scale says that) and I know a size 18 can look different on anyone it just depends on your body. It is just another number!!


      Ok That is ENOUGH from me. I must drink some water!! Have a happy hump day!!

        Thats right ShiningStarr the size of your jeans are just a number. Another number for us to worry about. Forget those numbers & enjoy how you are feeling!!

          Good morning everyone.

          Thanks for all your support yesterday. I read each and every one of them and appreciate you all so much. I didn't respond because I wanted my action to speak louder than words.

          Today, I am happy to report that I did well yesterday and just stuck it out through some small cravings I had last night. Today, I will stay the course again.

          I hope each of you honor the commitment you've made to yourself today. One day at a time.

            Starr..it took me like 30+lbs to go down a size.. I was fussing so much because I was holding my clothes up with a belt...3 holes on my belt too but yet I couldn't fit into anything in a smaller size at the store.. Well it hit one day...and then I was 2 sizes down.. Doesn't make since since I hadn't lost anymore weight.. Hang in there..you will be down soon!

              Good Morning Everyone.. Well its Official! Today I am a mother of an ADULT child...Sniff.. My son turned 18 today How weird is that... You just wait how much I blubber when my daughter turns 18...

              I worked last night really hard and I am really sore today..going to take it easy since I have to work again tomorrow night doing the same thing...

                Hey guys! Ok - steady weight at 158 which is my low weight. Makes me happy since it is day 2 of my evil tom.

                Just tired from it - I'm used to it. Told my husband I'm not butchering a turkey for xmas - I'm buying one. Just don't feel up to it (where he just laughed). My ATV is broken and it's a pain taking 150lbs of feed out to chickens on a tractor

                Well off to do a bunch of stuff that needs to be done

                  Mornin!

                  Yoga last night was nice - I think I might move up to Yoga 2 though....

                  Had a couple come look at the elliptical last night - waiting to hear if they want it (fingers crossed)

                  Weighed in at 115 again.. Just happy the scale isn't creeping up on me since TOM arrived.

                  Today I'm running and doing lunges/squats with a bar and also a little all around work with weights.

                    Good Morning Everyone ............. it's a beautiful day and I am off to get my last things done for Christmas ....... Weight is stable and refusing to budge but I'm finally ok with that it will move it has to I'm doing what I am supposed to so it has to ........ right?

                      Good morning STACers! Today I feel bloated and I'm up a pound. Its discouraging and I'm also in the mood to eat. I'm not hungry, but I have the munchies and nothing much legal to munch on at the moment. I need to go to the store later on. However, I WILL stay on track! I WILL only eat legal foods! and I WILL stay cheat free! Cause I'm keeping the change!

                          Morning STACers!

                          I'm off to work in a little while, but thought I'd take a moment to check in

                          Sticking to plan and loving it! My induction weight loss seems to have settled; I weighed in today at 219 for the third day in a row (I'm a daily/morning scale addict - don't worry, though, 'cause I'm motivated by the number ). I'm not discouraged in the least by this because I know I'm going to wake up one morning and find another pound gone.

                          Work is busy as I prepare for the Christmas break - we get a week off for Christmas... with pay! Gotta love it!! And I've taken a few extra holiday days after New Years so I don't return until Jan 7th. BUT... things won't be all relaxation here... my husband and I are gutting the kitchen to its studs then rebuilding it before the new cabinets are installed on Jan. 14th. I love working on renovations!!

                          ValidRouge - good to hear you're back on track!!

                          Sandy - When you find yourself eating illegal foods, remember what you told ShiningStar... what a great inspiration... down 2 sizes!! That must have felt wonderful!! Remember how you felt!!

                            Happy Wednesday!!

                            I have decided to weigh every Monday, so no news on it moving for me. I just feel better, so it's enough.

                            Today I will be making Christmas goodies for hubby's office staff....yummy pumpkin rolls...but they don't interest me. Must be because I KNOW I'd get my butt kicked if I ate them!!

                            Kiddos are still sleeping ~ today is their first day home for the break...will be getting them up shortly to help in the deep cleaning of the house. Then it's off to the gym..

                              Morning all. Got some shopping done last night which helped me sleep better than i have in a week. Overslept in fact but i feel good. Strong today. Still no change in the scale...well technically up a pound but i don't count those as it always seems like i hit a new low then the scale goes up a few pounds and bounces around there for a while before moving down again. So in other words...the hover. I am having my chmney swept today. I bought a foreclosure home a year ago and have no t used the fireplace on the advise of my inspector who said it appears the chimney has never been swept. But it's the holidays and i want a fire! So i finally called em out. We'll see how it goes. Other than that today is wrapping presents and venturing out in the stores for more gifts. Everytime i go i seem to pick up more for the kids. But they are the best to shop for
