  • STAC exercise challenge

    I am too late to sign up for the current 6 week excercise challenge, but I want to be accountable for my activity until the next one starts in 2 weeks. Therefore, I'm inviting anyone to join me in making a 2-week commitment and posting daily about what you've done.

    Because I'm on vacation, I can actually commit to 7 days a week of excercise. I will do a minimum of one type of workout a day - running, cardio and weights at the gym, or yoga or a walk. I will try to fit in TWO, because I'm really enjoying being outside, running or walking, and I can easily get to the gym in addition.

    So.......On Thursday, I ran 1 mile and went to the gym. On Friday, 1.5 miles, and the gym. That's my report.

    Anyone?

    I'm in!

    I go to the gym 5-6 times a week. Monday is Spin class, Tuesday is yoga, Wed is running and Body Pump class, Thursday is running and weights or swimming, Friday is BOSU Conditioning, Sat & Sun are some sort of cardio days. Depending on what's going on in the week - sick kids, etc, I may miss a class, but almost always make up for it as soon as my hubby comes home, when I can jam on over to the gym.

    Yesterday, I ran for 1.5 mile, did wave machine (simulates roller blading) for 2 miles.
    Today, I plan on running and doing some squats & lunges

    My ultimate goal is to run a 5K in the Spring - and of course look slammin naked

      I'm dreading responding to this challenge but I know I need to. It's my first day and Im doing great on the induction but I feel the crappy way ya feel when sugar is being denied. Im headachy and grumpy with no energy. I feel like the flu is coming on but I'm sure its just the program working. Im in on the challenge because exercising is so tough for me, and I need the support. Today Im in bed with aspirin, but I'll have hubby dig out the treadmill for tomorrow.

      Goal--walk 30min in morn and 30 min in evening. Someone hold me accountable please.

        I'm in - and I will start tomorrow.... I took 2 days off with my back but hopefully will get a good nights sleep and be ready to go!

        I will exercise at a minimum 20 minutes per day 6 days per week. My new pilates express class starts on Wednesday so I'm excited about that!

        And HealthyMiMi - we've all been through that awful induction flu!!! Don't worry! It will pass You'll make it!

          Saturday (yesterday): 2 mile walk.

          Today: 1.5 mile run in the a.m. 20 min on elliptical plus upper and lower body weights at the gym in the evening.

            Yesterday - took day off from gym (sick kids)

            Today - ran 1.5 mile, did wave machine for 2 mile, lunges & squats and worked on upper body with weights

                I have spin class this morn at 9:30

                I also meet with my trainer right after for just a half hour - don't know what we'll be doing yet

                  Taking day off from gym - let my sore body recover...

                  Yesterday did Spin class, worked upper & lower body with trainer (ouch) total 2 hours of exercise.

                    DId my 20 minutes of ab crunching, squats and push-ups..... ok - I know ab muscles are in there because they STILL hurt

                      I have been walking a mile at the gym then doing about 30-45 minutes of weights everyday.....will continue to do so, although will alternate walking a lap, then running a lap....

                      *dreaming* Someday I will run it all.....

                        Forgot to report in yesterday. I didn't do an a.m. run because TOM showed up and boy, was he, um, heavy? But gym and abs in the afternoon. I feel good about doing this! It's good to have to report.

                            Yesterday 1/2 - Cardio for 30min & Body Pump Class for an hour

                            Today 1/3 - Ran for 1.5 mile & lower body weight work

                            Tomorrow 1/4 - BOSU class for 1 hour

                              Ok, where are we. Let's see.....

                              Yesterday, did 30 min on Elliptical trainer and then lower body resistence training.

                              Today, I ran a mile in the a.m., then we went to the gym and had a session with a trainer. He worked my butt off (and my arms) for 45 min. It was FANTASTIC so we are signing up for more sessions, me and dd together.
