    Good morning STAC, as I've stated in my other Post, "The Book and Induction" I've had some eye-opening revelation today!
    Today I am thinking about WORKING WHAT WORKS.
    Little Nemo has come back and she said, "ok this is what works and I am going to work what works" and she listed things that work for her.
    Do you know what works for you? Can you get back to the basics that help you on a daily basis?

    I watch people all around me gearing up for "dieting". I am not one of them. I am going on with what works. I am just gonna work what works. I am keeping to the habits that serve me daily.
    I come here
    I drink water
    I take suppliments
    I exercise
    I eat carefully, and I will eat consistently...
    I KNOW WHAT WORKS, AND I WORK WHAT WORKS.

    This year I am going to read phase 3 and phase 4 of the Aktins book.
    I am going to spend more time on what I know and what I understand.
    I want to walk into 2008 just like I walked into 2007, with hope in my heart, and a lifestyle that is active and healthy.
    I also look out at 2009. I want to be HERE on that date too.

    ditto, jess!! sometimes with induction, we go so nuts on the fact that we can eat a little more fatty foods/creamy stuff than usual, that we go overboard! i am reminded of the cute yet SIGNIFICANT phrase K.I.S.S. (KEEP IT SIMPLE SWEETIE!!!).

      Hey girls,
      Yup, KISS... I've said that a few times lately!
      Day 5 of induction for me and I gotta say I'm really enjoying it. Which is weird yet wonderful. TOM just arrived... explaining major mood swings yesterday. So far it's been going great, but thats only because of the planning and preparing I did. My working weekend has otherwise been extremely stressful. This WOE has kept me sane.

      Already did my 2 mile walk, now off to church and hoping to get some bike miles in before I leave for work at 12 noon.... Trying hard to finish the mileage challenge.

        Hi All this is day 4 for me. I lost 1 1/2 pounds which makes me happy but I'm also exercising more so I knew the weight would go up as much as it freaks me out.
        Hopefully I'll be changing that weight in my signature back to 157.
        I feel it already tho in my body. much better. stomach going down thank God!!!
        Went to a Salad bar last night. I ate the veggies, made my own egg salad and ordered a hamburger with brocolli and of course didn't eat the bun. It was very good.
        I've been peeing allot too. water gain..my feet are not swollen like they were.
        So much happier. Isn't it amazing when we eat crap sugar junk we feel awful but can't stop. We eat much better and feel better mentally and physically. That's where I want to be and stay.

          I've lost 2 lbs since Thursday through eating right again, and exercising daily by running along the beach for 30 minutes (except today, I'm sick and it's pouring down outside! I'll work out a little later at home)

          I also feel like a goldfish the amount of water I've drunk recently

                Good afternoon. Just back from church. It was ds's first day as a junior acolyte. He did a great job and was so cute in his robes! We're going out to a family sports bar to watch the Redskins play this afternoon, so that means hot wings and a salad for me. Yum!

                  Hey everyone - I slept in which was great because I so needed the sleep.

                  I woke up and went to the grocery store and loaded up on veggies and a few things for later. The short ribs are in the slow cooker for dinner and then I have some snacks - jalepeno's for the football game

                  So now drinking all my water I need and waiting for a salad in a little bit

                    G'morning, everyone!

                    DH works 7-7 today, so I got up early to drive him (we have 1 car, being a green family) and came home and read and fell back asleep. Got up about 9:30 and went for a 1.5 mile run with dd. About 1.25 miles into it, I hit THE WALL and ran the rest of the way with the sensation of struggling through water, lol. Feels good to be done. We are going to the gym tonight.

                    I'm finishing up some painting today, and cleaning. Thinking about commitments and goals I want to set for the coming year. Realistic ones. Reasonable ones. MEANINGFUL ones.

                    I may do some cooking, though we still have plenty left that I cooked mid-week. I'm out of sunflower seeds, though, and I love those on my salads - just a few just adds that great saltiness and texture, dontchaknow.

                    Other than that, just hanging out with my younger son (14) who lives with his dad this year and is visiting until Saturday.

                    I'm so proud of everyone who is doing induction - you go, guys!

                      Checking in late today, I didn't turn the computer on at all today! I kept myself busy finishing up laundry and putting the house together after Christmas. Have a few more loads of wash to do tomorrow but I'm otherwise caught up for the week.

                      Day 2 back on track today... headache set in this evening, feeling a bit blah - looking forward to bed.

                        I guess the "sickies" are going around because I am feeling under the weather today too. I went back to the old comfort foods like Chicken Noodle Soup so I messed up my induction. I am feeling a bit better this evening so I may try for induction again tomorrow. I will just have to see how it goes. It is hard for me to eat meat, cheese and eggs when I am not feeling good.
