  • A New Year, A New Start

Hi everyone, I'm back again, after being away for 2 years. I see some old faces, and hope to meet some new ones on this venture. Unfortunately, I have gained back about 50 lbs of the 90 lbs I lost 2 years ago. A lack of discipline, and excercise on my part, caused this re-lapse. I am awakened now, fortunately before gaining back all my weight loss. Seeing myself in the pictures we just took on our Hawaiian cruise, made me realize how unhappy I am becoming of my body and myself in general. I went cold turkey yesterday, read the book again, bought my groceries, and dug into my "Atkins Friendly" receipe book, and plan some menues for the next few days. I am looking forward to new tips on making my weight loss journey easier. And so I am back to the place that helped me before!

Re: A New Year, A New Start

Thx. everyone for your kind words of encouragement. Looks like things haven't changed around here, and everyone is still as supportive as ever. These last 3 days since starting have not been as hard as I thought it would be. The transition so far is going well, and my water intake is gradually getting higher and higher. That was my biggest problem last time. I always carry around a bottled water everywhere I go, so that seems to help. I look forward to learning more from all of you in the upcoming period of time.

Re: A New Year, A New Start

                    Hi everyone,

I am back. This is me starting over! I thought I would have met half my goal by now...I am a bit depressed over my failure, but I have to move on.
This year I am going to lose this weight before it kills me. I am glad to be back as I need the support! I got rid of all the bad foods...just need to go to the grocery store now and buy some good stuff. Here I come!

I couldn't remember my log in password and today it came to me. LOL
We can lose this weight! Hugs, Jenny

This pic was in 2005, I weighed 372.

This was taken October 2007, I weigh 375.

I was on atkins last year in the early fall and lost about 30 pounds. I obviously gained it back...but I know this is the right diet for me as it works very good. So I am back!
