Good morning everyone. Day 4 of induction today, and I'm feeling great! Went out for dinner last night, and stuck to plan 100%. Everyone else was eating all the wrong foods, but I was right on plan, totally focussed on losing 20 lbs for my first mini goal set for Feb 27th, the day we leave on our Caribbean Cruise! Great incentive for me and definately a challenge! But I determined to do it!

TGIF for sure! Glenda thanks for that quote. It is appropriate for me today. I had a slip up last night. My own fault, no one but me to blame. Had coctails last night, wanted something sweet, there was nothing so I had 2 Blueberry poptarts! Only had the alcohol in the house left over from the holidays but will trash it when I get home. I am so upset I could cry. But I will just drink my water today and flush out as much as possible. I think I will have to leave alcohol alone for ever. For sure a red light for me.

Here is to a new day and better choices for myself.

Sheepie congrats on making it to 199! That is awesome!

Have a great Friday STAC'ers. Thanks for being here.

            Re: TGIF roll call 01/04

Morning, all! Day three of re-induction for me. When I woke up I was down a pound. Then, later, after two sips of coffee and putting on my shorts, t-shirt, and running shoes, I weighed again - 4.5 lbs UP! That stupid scale. I believe the first result.

I'm just having a cup of coffee and then I'm going to run a mile. We have an appt. with our trainer at 12, then hair at 2.

Tips for those of us starting induction again:

            1. Dispose of ALL sugar-free, "low carb" goodies that don't belong in induction.

            2. Pre-pack baggies or small containers of things to eat and carry with you when you go out.

            3. Eat every 2-3 hours.

            4. Drink a bottle of water every 3 hours.

            5. If you have a sweet tooth, know what you can have: hot cocoa made out of cocoa powder and splenda with diluted cream; faux danish, etc.

            6. Exercise in some way, every single day. Walk, run, bike, jog, clean the house, yoga, whatever. Oh, and park far away from the store you are going to - the extra steps are excellent.

            7. Remind yourself that this is for 2 weeks. You can do anything for 2 weeks.

            8. Just for today, say NO. You can choose another option tomorrow, but today, say NO.

            9. Do something nice for yourself every 3 days: pedicure, hot bubble bath with candles, buy yourself a single rose or a full bouquet, etc.

            10. Keep your goal in mind. Where do you want to be? How will you get there, and what will it take for you to do it?
            Start date: 7/29/2007

            Scale: SW:235 CW:193
            GW:150

Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

            Mini goals:
            215 - met 9/10/07
            205 - met 10/17/07
            195 - met 2/20/08
            180

            I survived a two-month stall!

What an inspiration everyone is!! I love to read about everyone's success because it re-affirms to me that the goal of losing 90 pounds is obtainable....I just have to remember that I didn't put all the weight on overnight, therefore, I won't lose it overnight either. Just take one day at a time - sometimes a minute at a time.

I am on day 4 with wonderful results! I have lost 9 pounds and am feeling great!

I am excited that onederland is 12 pounds away for me....that's amazing to know that it is right around the corner!

Thank you for posting such inspiring words today!

I'm on day 3 and feeling great. Had a nice omelette for breakfast and some tuna with mayo for lunch. Snacking on olives and chugging water until dinner time, I plan on making fajitas, minus the tortillas!

                    Good Morning STAC'ers!

Congrats Sheepie WOOOHOOOO! I wish I could stay there! I keep bouncing around..... I'ma badddd girrrllll!

I have a Doctors appointment today. I am not expecting miracles just a refferal to an ortho. My sciatica has been flared up for the last few weeks and this has been going for about a year. It makes life challenging to say the least and I am blaming my slip ups on it....

todays's goals are to drink 100 oz of water, cook a few low carb dishes and paint 2 walls in my family room- I will be covering red so first I am painting primer on it.

                    Have a great day!

Wow! A lot of posts this morning already. I am overwhelmed! LOL.

I'm on day 5 of induction today and doing great. I haven't weighed myself, I am waiting until Monday. I am trying to weigh in just once a week. It is hard hearing the weight everyone is losing, makes me want to run to my scale and peek. But nooooooooo I will be strong.

                      Sandy

                        Hi,
just checking in to say hi... I'm doing a little better... migraine headache still here but not as bad. Making apt for hair tomorrow and nails and also chiro on monday and working on an eye apt... waiting to hear from insurance about the MRI next week... I should eat something. Going to go see my dad after that and maybe take a walk. I bought stuff to make 'lasagne' using zuccini as the 'noodles'... it's so good! I love it. It makes me hungry now just talking about it.

You guys are doing so great! I love reading your posts...

Hey guys - checking in to say "nite" and all that jazz

I do have a farm site (PM me if you want to know it) which has my rubs on it... one is efinitely low carb even for induction - the other one which is my favorite is for a little more up the rungs - as it does have a TEENY bit of brown sugar in it. It's not bad.

I have a meat grinder with sausage attachment....super simple - was about $200 I think on sale at amazon last year. Our friend who does the jerky and most of our grinding has like an $800 unit with jerky attachment. He bought out 2 grocery stores of a type of beef roast to make jerky for us - close to 40+ lbs I think so far!! I'm excited cause the jerky is legal and so are the snack sticks he makes.

I got to drive down and pick up all the pork today - fun! It's exciting getting a commercial freezer full of meat Makes going to the market tomorrow fun and exciting because of having more stuff.

Probably won't check in until tomorrow afternoon since I have to figure out about what to load in the morning. So many choices!! Gotta figure out what to do with some of the stuff also as I've never had it before. Plus then I get to make my signage Sorry I get carried away - LOL.

OH - we had a new baby lamb this morning Making it 2 so far for this year with about 4 girls about to give birth... I expect some born in the morning (either super early or after I am gone)..... I should have pictures of them up soon!!!

Ok - done talking - need to go and rest awhile and maybe make a little dessert for myself - not sure yet, but legal chocolate pudding sounds kinda yummy at the moment
