  • Here we go.....Again

    Hi everyone,

This is my second time around on atkins and I am very excited. When I started the first time I really only cared about being thin and wearing all of the nice clothes. This time it is different. At 23 I have reached almost 260 and began having a hard time through each day. i have a 3 year old son whom I really cant play with because I am always so tired or irritable. My blood pressure has shot through the roof and I just want to sleep all day long. Not to mention the headaches.

After sitting on the couch last week and eating a whole chocolate pie and drinking a 2 liter of pepsi, along with a lot of other junk, all the while with a headache about to fall asleep, and my son asking me to play, I decided I could not do this anymore. It was not fair to him or myself or my husband, so I decided to come back to atkins.

I found this board and hope to post at least once a day. I learned the last time that support is something you need and now I want it lol.

      Hi Miranda,
I am so glad you joined us !! I understand how you feel. It was pain and discomfort that made me decide to get back on plan and this time I have to do this and not let anything get in my way.
You can do it and we are all here to support you. Read all you can and post all you can, it really does keep you motivated and on track and be sure and set up your home envirement for success. Prepare food in advance and do not let the excuse of not having anythign on hand get in your way. I will often cook up several kinds of meats and put them in the fridge so I can pick and chose for each meal and it makes it easy. Even if I have to run out, I can grab a turkey pattie or cutlet or a piece of cooked chicken breast or steak and slice it up and put it in a baggy to go, hard boiled eggs help too . Set yourself up for success and you will do great !! You might consider starting a journal chat to help motivate yourself and a journal stat to write your progress in. You can find them on the main board. Others will jump in and give you advice and support , I love having a journal on the board. Just remember that it is public lol !!
I look forward to seeing you post your successes, welcome to the board !!!
