Good Morning STACers....I had a very interesting experience. When we started the new year, my daughter and I set a goal to loose 5lbs this month. How? Eating lower rungs, exercise and water. I then went over to mileage challenge and set a goal to log x amount of miles in a month. I got on the bike and did great...I've been on the bike again and I've run some...
Then life kicked in and I got distracted and forgot to make time to visit my goals on a daily basis. I was still active, but I was not purposeful....
I am not only a goal setting, but I thrive with numbers. But I had not been in this mode for a while, so I wasn't paying attention....When I don't focus, I don't seem to really meet my daily requirements that lead me to the goal.
Yesterday late afternoon, time for a bike ride and it crossed my mind that I could take that bike ride....then somewhere it trickled into my thinking, "yeah because you set a goal to do x amount of miles this month"...then this morning it came to me again, as I am getting ready to go run....I also set a weightloss goal this month....my size 6 jeans don't fit right now....
Ok, so focus is HUGE FOR MY SUCCESS and MY WILL POWER IS ENGAGED WHEN I FOCUS....
I am still doing all the same old things, but I lost track of my new destination! Spending time on that will actually allow me to move in that direction! I had simply let that attitude and action slip....which puts me in the "SORTA ZONE"....I Sorta worked out. I sorta did this or that...But when engaged with my goals, I DO IT! I work harder, go a bit longer, push back a bit of the food....
My vision this month is to loose 5lbs. I just sorta forgot!

The challenges on this board help me in that way. Even though there is no one holding a gun to my head, it somehow motivates me to do what I need to do when I've told someone I would. Does that make sense?
