    Good Morning all! One full week of induction gone, as well as 6lbs. Moving onto week 2, and I hope it's as easy as week 1. My motivation for the next 8 weeks, will be to get into my last years bathing suit for our cruise in March. I am focussing on keeping my water intake high, as that was my sore spot last time I was on Atkins. So far so good. Have a great day everyone!

      Good Morning everyone!
      Goals for the day:
      Walk 2miles (it will end up being 3 though)
      stretch 15 minutes doing yoga poses...
      drink loads and loads of water
      no cafiene... that's right... giving up the cafinated Joe...
      While walking: run the roomba in the family room... and start a load of laundry.
      Stick to induction today... no cheats... (yesterday I ate nuts... bad planning... headache... dehydrations... etc... )
      Make a califlower casserole
      Dr apt.
      Hair apt.
      Work...
      time to roll...

        Morning, all!

        My goals are:

        1. Get that scale moving DOWN
        2. Workout 7/7 days through 1/21, then 5 days a week thereafter.
        3. Build my runs back up to an easy 2 miles.
        4. Continue to eat well.

        The scale is down 1/2 lb today, which is good since yesterday it was UP a half pound. I've eliminated everything that might be a food allergy causing a stall: splenda, pumpkin, nuts, seeds, dairy, soy/tofu. We'll see.

        I'm going to work out later and also take a run, then tonight I have to go down to San Diego for a meeting. I'm picking up dh after his school gets out (we teach at different schools) and hopefully we can hit IKEA before we meet a friend for an early dinner and the meeting. I want a new file drawer and they have a cool red one.

          Morning everyone!

          I had my 1/2 cup of pumpkin for breakfast and am feeling okay. For lunch it's leftover lamb and some celery, with two cheese sticks for snacks. Not sure what to do for dinner, yet.. I'm thinking chicken wings. I looove chicken wings.

          Might be a while 'till I get to dinner though, as I have to do some recording tonight. My band's song "Buried Alive" is going to be included in a compliation CD for Dark Harvest Records! Woo! So we gotta finish recording the song.. which basically means -I- have to do about a billion takes.. lol

            good morning! and like joy, i wanna say a BIG HELLO to my pal scooter!!! missed ya! so nice to see you here. well, i am back to work today and that means ROUTINE. i thrive on routine...what a dork i am but it works for me. so my water bottle is filled and i am ready to go. it's a good day. dress slacks felt a little snug this morning but i've been living in my jeans for the last almost 3 weeks......no denial. i REFUSE to go back to double digits! so water, elliptical and low carb for me!

              Hello everyone! Glad to see everyone is focused and sticking with it! Im still here, Ive been busy with work and the kids....finding new preschool for my daughter... I found out some not so nice things and I needed to make the change for her safty. Im still goal oriented though. I havent cheated , Ive measured ( 3 inches gone so far ), Ive excersized, Ive logged all my food, Im drinking well over 100oz of water a day...Im doin this thang!!!

                Plsmachic: i find cooking a roast, a whole chicken, a couple of pounds of ground beef, then keeping them in the fridge makes life alot easier for me. i try to get them when their on sale. right now i've got a large eye of round and cooked ground beef ready for meals..especially the ground beef..it's so versatile!

                We've got abnormally warm winter weather here for the next couple of days, so i can at least get out and walk a bit...but i know it wont be here for long. so also back into the pilates and weights as of this a.m.

                doing really well with the eating...can't wait to at least lose a bit of the water weight, to get me motivated!

                I love the idea of putting goals in your signature Joy! I may do the same!

                  Morning everyone:

                  I am a big goaler however, i am a planner goaler if that makes sense. I love to plan, i love breaking things down and saying okay this fits in here and here, but i stink at follow-through and absolute concepts of obtaining, i need huge flexibility. Like when i clean my house for deep clean summer and winter cleaning, i sit down and literally write out what i have to do in each room (i.e., dust rungs on bed, clean out drawers 1, 2, 3 etc) very detailed, then i give myself an amount of time i have to have it finished (i.e., usually a week with 2 weekends involved). Then i usually do 20 minutes at a time and just start doing things on the list and crossing them off.

                  This is where my problem comes in for this way of life, for exercise you really need to get it in daily lol and eating right is the same and you have to be consistent, i am not a consistent follow-througher, i am a consistent planner though which is why i am great at starting over with plans.

                  So i am trying to convert myself into a followthrougher planner, and saying make a list and just do it lol doesn't work for me. So does anyone have any tips as to how they are or have become a follow througher and not just an awesome planner?

                  One of my great plans that i actually do follow through on because it doesn't require much as a follow through is my water capability, whenever i have to go pee lol i drink min. 1/2 of a 20 oz bottle and same when i am done. But beyond that i have a really hard time with following through.

                    Today is day 12 for me. I've been very good except eating tomato sauce with meat in it. Other than that I've been induction good with a little more veggies than is aloud on Induction. I've been so busy at work and then come home and clean, cook etc I'm too exhausted to go to the gym and exercise. That's my problem right there.
                    I could get that scale to move if I did just that - exercise. even 30 minutes. I just can't get my rear in gear to do that thus the scale is barely moving. don't feel so good about that. So I'll just keep on trying.

                      Good Afternoon everyone... I am not a huge goal setter..and this year I did NOT make any New Years Resolutions.. My goal is to take one day at a time and not to cheat and let the stress of my crazy life get to me.

                      This morning I went to water aerobics.. I love that place.. Not just the exercising but the socializing with the other women

                        Hi everyone.

                        I"m staying the course. I know, I'm boring, but I'm okay with that so long as the scale keeps going down. I'm going to have to go shopping for new clothes here very soon, like I need to now 'cause my pants are dragging on the floor Maybe this weekend, just 'cause I love losing all this weight doesn't change the fact I still don't like to go shopping. Even if I do get to shop for 14 instead of 18/20.

                        This is so cool, I'm out of the plus size section.

                          Good afternoon everyone! Our internet has been down since Sunday, but I'm still here. I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow, so only get chicken broth and water today. Guess at least I don't have to worry about cheating. Then just water tomorrow until I get home about 6 pm. I'll just have to make sure I don't pig out for dinner.

                              Good afternoon...

                              Okay I have to say this last four days has been from ****. I dont know what happened - maybe it was just the weekend. I had no cheats up until Sat. Then I got crabby and didnt know where to turn... first put some cashews in my mouth, and then I ate some popcorn and well....by Sunday I was eating Blizzards.

                              I had lost 10 lbs. when I stepped on the scale on Sat. morning. It felt good to know that i had been beating the numbers. Then all of the sudden I stopped caring and POOF!

                              Tomorrow is a new day right? My strength has been zapped. My son was sick on Monday with the flew so there were not a lot of other food options in the house. And last night he had a seizure to top it all off, tomorrow he has a blood test at 7 AM...

                              I really want life to just get back to normal. I want to start feeling good again. I know that the only way to do this, is to get back on the Atkins diet and be good. HELP!

                                Good Afternoon Everyone,

                                Bit of a late check in for me we were out looking at houses in the next town. We are thinking of moving because our area is not as good as it once was. We did find a great deal today so we will see what happens.

                                Foodwise it has been an amazing 9 days cheat free which I think is a record for me. I am feeling so much better and in greater control.

                                Jess thanks for your post this morning, very motivating as always. I am someone who has to work at setting goals every day or I can be in danger of slipping by the wayside.

                                Today my goal is to get my 60 minutes of exercise in. Since we were out the door early this morning I didn't get a chance to get it in.
