  • went off plan

    Well i made it all the way past Christmas. All the way past new years. And then i just started eating things here and there. Tried to stick to plan but something would click in me and i would sneak a treat. Yes sneak. No one around me knows. I feel like . i have already considered the vending machine a few times today. I need to get back on plan and so i came here for my confession. So now that my dirty lil sneaking food secret is out, i am ready to move forward. Today is a new day and i have said no already. I can get through today

      Thanks Silly, you have always been a great friend to me . Well i made it out of work. On the way home i stopped at Arby's. But all i had was roast beef with no bun...no sauce or anything. So i feel ok about it. But it was the stop i am upset about. I know once i am on plan for a few days the uncontrollable urges will subside. Just gotta get through this one days at a time. I think my not reaching my mini goal by new years affected me more than i thought. But i am determined to get to goal this year. I have lots of time, and the support of my friends here. And I know this WOE works for me. Tonights dinner will be 100% clean.

        I know that feeling. It's in your head and it just will not go away until you do what it wants. Good that you didn't. you stopped, but you ate legally. Tomorrow, you will drive right on by!

        Maybe you're right about not reaching a mini goal. Self sabotage? It's just a goal, it's not a pulitzer prize! A goal is something to aim for only.

          I almost never eat off plan and I was very happy to make it through Thanksgiving and Christmas without nary a bite I shouldn't have. Then I had a devastating doctor's appointment on the 26th. and I wanted to leave there and go pig out, but I controlled it and went home and ate legal foods through dinner. I made it through dinner and came to the board and posted and read a bit, then not feeling very much better, I went to bed with a good book to get me over my pity party. As soon as I crawled in the bed and started reading, the phone rang. It was my oldest sister, whom I love, but she drives me up the wall when she calls. She talked for at least an hour (I never get a chance to say anything) and I was so upset when she finally hung up, that I started eating everything under the sun--even stuff with wheat, which I am very allergic to. It took me three days to get back on track. I would eat correctly all day and then dive into the bad stuff after dinner.

          It's hard to get back on track, but we know we must. Once you take the first bite, we are lost souls until we can get back on track. Thankfully, we have ADBB and all these wonderful friends to help us when we are not strong enough.

            Welcome back, and keep saying NO each day! It really works!

            I know it's hard to have let things slide and get out of control, and to clamber back onto the wagon, but we're here, with arms outstretched, ready to grab ya and haul you back onto the seat!

              Well at least now your secret is out. I know all about sneaking treats and hiding sweets from the kids and DH so they don't eat them. No more sneaking treats! You can do it!

                Spirittalker, I love the support surrounding you. Obviously we know how painfully frustrating all of this is, and we do support your efforts to gain control and you know as well as we do just HOW GOOD that will feel...I've been struggling myself.

                  *sniff* you guys brought tears to my eyes this morning. Last night i ate some sf jello to help curb the cravings but i know the only way to get truly back on track is induction. I have to back track but at the same time i know myself and once i get to this point i need to purify my body. i also think i need to reread the book. It's so inspiring i think it will help. Thank you all so much for being behind me on this one.

                    I rarely say people should re-induct, but I think you should. It would purify your body, you'll lose the bloatiness and start to feel much better. You'll get rid of the sugar craving and that's really what you need right now. BUT, don't do a full 2 weeks. 1 week maximum then move right on up to Rung 1.

                    Don't let anyone ream you about the SF Jello. That was a perfect choice to get you over a hump!

                      spirittalker, you are doing great! way to go posting here about your 'dirty little secret', it's funny how hard it actually is to do, isn't it? i always feel like i let my fellow STACr's down when i have to make a post like yours, and am afraid to do it, and then when i do i am always reenergized and redirected by the outpouring of warmth and support. we are all human!!

                        I sure hope so. For some reason my weight has been going up since i made this post. Maybe just hanging onto stuff for a few and will drop in a few days. Just gonna stick to the plan for now. Clean induction, move to rung 1 of owl and figure out what went wrong after that. Oh and reread the book. Just gotta dig it outta the moving box.
