    Morning all. Feeling good and strong today. Got a walking buddy for lunch too so i am going to get some much needed exercise. I haven't been sleeping well and i am beginning to suspect that may be the trick to fix it.

      Good morning all. Day 9 of induction and doing great, no cheats at all. Last night I went out for dinner with a friend, and stayed exactly on plan, asking waiter lots of questions, but staying on plan. I'm proud of myself!

          Good morning all. Today is the end of week 1 of induction for me. The scales showed I've lost 7.6 pounds this morning, but that's not exactly true. That's why I haven't updated my siggy and tickers. I have a colonoscopy today, so the evacukit thingy I had to do yesterday has flushed everything out of me. I'm sure the stupid kit had sugar and/or carbs in it, so it really made me mad that I had to drink it. I'm just sure it knocked me out of ketosis. I feel dehydrated this morning, but can't have any water after 10 am. I'm tired and hungry and grumpy and looking forward to eating again this evening. A big old hamburger and fries is sounding really good right now. But I won't give in!!! I'm sure the scales are going to go up in the next couple of days, so I'm going to TRY not to weigh for a few days. Sorry to be such a grump today. I promise to be better tomorrow!

            I am here! Excedrin Migraine seemed to work on my headache last night. Woke this morning feeling so rested. I pulled a "Jess talk" with myself this morning while still in bed. What do I want out of today is what I asked myself. My answer? To take it one meal at a time. To drink my water. To exercise. I want to be aware of any hidden dangers and talk my way out of them. yes, I see you Gingerbread house.. but my cup of hot tea with a splash of whipping cream will make me feel soo much better in the long run. You are just empty calories waiting to jump in my mouth and hit my hips! Go away! And it was done Not that it even tempted me this morning. I was just prepared if it did Planning is the key!

              Hey all!

              Today is going well. It will be a busy day, but I brought a TON of food, enough to feed an army. I'm feeling good again. Yes, it's decided, whole grains are a no-no food for me, or at the very best, a rare food for me. I feel lean and mean again after ditching them.

              I've got kickboxing tonight, and I'm looking forward to it. The instructor didn't have class for the past two weeks, so I NEED a kickboxing fix!

                I'm feeling lean again too. Cutting back to the basics, boat loads of veggies and pure, unprocessed meats. Olive oil and butter and mayo as condiments.

                I'm feeling really good, except that I've pulled my hamstring. Not good.

                  Morning everyone...
                  I'm running late for work, but wanted to check in with the group.
                  Still struggling here... it's tough without a stove! I found some pre-cooked meat at the store yesterday and plan on grabbing them on my way out the door (something to snack on as I drive to work). I also found pre-cooked bacon. I haven't tried it yet, but I will tomorrow... I'm a little unsure about it, though! Our new kitchen is installed next week and we've set up the gas-guy to come in and hook the stove up next Thursday... so I have to do my best to hang in there for another week! I'm not beating myself up too much for the occasional "cheat" because I KNOW that I'll get 100% back on track once I have a kitchen!

                    It's hump day. Here in my office I am bored to tears. Nothing to do but learn new software. I hate working here. -_-

                    Had my usual breakfast of 1/2 cup of pumpkin, glass of water with Benefiber, and my vitamins. My cat was acting like a jack-***. He always wakes me up by biting my arm, but this morning he actually bit my face. I almost cleaned his clock but the little bastard ran away.

                    For lunch it's gonna be tuna and celery. I was all out of snacks to bring so I might be hungry for a while, today.. not good!!

                      Good Morning STAC'ers,

                      I am still here. Barely.... I feel ashamed to say that I have been having a very hard time trying to stay clean. I know that I have stress (because I am not sleeping well) but I shouldn't blame the stress in my life. However it seems overwhelming this week.

                      My work load is pretty heavy right now and I have had to bring home about 10 cases of desserts for next week.(For those of you who don't kn ow I am a food broker) So yesterday when my husband and daughter ran to the market I ran to the dessert I was fantasing about a particular dessert that I had not seen before and had never tasted! Keep in mind I had induction friendly vanilla cinnamin mousse in the fridge just waiting for me...... Well my mind went to the dessert and not only did I eat 1 serving I then had to eat another It was a simple cake not even very good but there I was shoveling it into my face like a little child. Ashamed and disgusted with myself........

                      On a side note I had my MRI yesterday morning- I should here the results in the next day or so. My morning started off ok- the sciatica didn't kick in untill 9 am and by 5 pm I was pretty sore and ready for a pill. I am anxious to find out for once and all what is exactly going on- it is depressing being like this.

                      OK I got it off my chest- today is another day. I will reslove to eat only on plan and drink at least 100 oz of water.

                        Good morning!

                        I woke up this morning to a lovely note from Jersey (smoochies!) and a suggestion by HOpejoy that we get together tomorrow (ya hoo!) and yet ANOTHER really insane pm from Jimmy who claims I will never lose weight. C'est la vie. <shrug>

                        Today is another workout with our trainer. He worked our legs and triceps two days ago and yesterday in the middle of the day I suddenly, in the middle of doing dishes, felt every muscle and tendon in my legs. I had to STAGGER to the bathroom to take a hot bath! lololol. It is SUCH a good pain to have, I love it, even though just lowering myself into a chair is painful!

                        Good news - I lost another pound. I have no idea what is happening, but I'll take it. So during my stall I didn't lose for, I dunno, 7 -8 weeks, then suddenly gained three, then another 3, then 1/2, then went down 1/2, and now down another lb. Keep your fingers crossed everyone!

                        I'm spending the day in a wonderful way, puttering around the house organizing things and moving furniture around, one of my favorite things to do. Enjoy your day, everyone!

                        cymbrd: It'll come. I have complete faith. I've been struggling to drop lbs for 2 months.

                        Scooter: Welcome to induction flu. <yuck> It will pass. Drink a ton of water and take ibuprofin, even if you don't hurt.

                              Good Morning everyone! Wow! takes a long time to get through roll call!!!

                              Yes! Evermind and I have a date! Starbucks and Wateraerbics class tomorrow night!!! Is that cool or what???

                              Glenda, I loved your quotes this morning and find that oh so true... this woe affects every area of our lives... for the better.

                              I love how we all come from such different places and spaces... and come here to check in...

                              So, yesterday was a really good day for me food wise... nothing like a little cooking and planning to keep me on track! I went without cafenated coffee ALL DAY... with no significant change in my headache pattern... and this morning I'm feeling good! Why didn't I ever think of switching to decaf before this?????
                              Well, now my race for the day begins... walk, make lunch, dinner, heck I still need to eat breakfast! and then off to work... throwing in a load of laundry... and picking up around the house a bit... in between...
