Anyone have a good idea for a snack at the movies, I'll be bringing something with me... just not sure what I should bring. The movie is almost an hour and half and its about a half hour drive each way... no way I'll go almost 4hrs without something to eat. I have to bring snacks for kiddos anyhow, food sensitivities in one, food allergies in the other.

Re: A snack for the movies...
pepperoni, dice up small pieces of celery, jicama, cucumber, etc. Stuff you can put in a ziplock bag and just pick up small pieces and eat like you would the popcorn. Cheese cubes too.~Joy

Re: A snack for the movies...
I don't know if you've ever made deep-fried kale, but if you're a fan of popcorn, try it sometime.
Get a big bunch of kale (available in the produce section) and cut off the stems. Boil up a big pot of vegetable oil, and layer paper towel on a cookie sheet. Have your salt shaker handy, as well as a big slotted spoon.
When the oil is hot, drop in the kale. Let it deep fry for just a few seconds (it usually takes about 10-15 seconds for me, some people report less and some more) and then immediately scoop it out. Lay it on the paper towel, and salt it.
Let it sit for a few minutes, and then you can eat it or bag it up for the movies.
It smells and tastes SOOOOO much like popcorn!
