  • Restarting.. for the millionth time!

Ok well, not really million but you get the idea

Tomorrow I'll be restarting induction after being off for so long! I can't even remember when I went off this WOL! I know that I let issues affect the way I eat too much, and I shouldn't.

I've seen another doctor lately and I'm now freaking out! I'm pre-diabetic! and there was a campaign going on here on diabeties, and I got tested again (hoping that my doctor made a mistake) and they proved it, I AM pre-diabetic. So now, its either I get in shape (and get my life in shape!) or become a diabetic.. a scary thought. My dad was diabetic, my grandfather was a diabetic, my uncle is diabetic, and in short, a lot of people on my father's side are! I guess I've taken this for granted and never really bothered taking it into consideration.

I'm also seriously anemic and was put on meds for the past few months.. my hemoglobin went from 7.5 to 10 now (thankfully) and I guess I'm not getting dizzy and sick as I used to.

Tomorrow I'm restarting, and I've also gotten a membership @ a gym closer to my home so I'd have no excuse, plus my elliptical machine @ home. I'm taking all my measurements tomorrow morning (and weight) and will keep updating.

to be honest.. I wasn't really going to write in the forum again.. I felt really ashamed of falling off the wagon and felt awkward about coming back and writing about it.. been reading around for a while, and realized that I will need the support of the wonderful people here on ADBB..

I talk a lot... Thanks so much for reading ^_^

          Hey miss world! welcome back!
I know what you mean with the scary family history! I have that too and was diagnosed last April! Since then I lost 40lbs and the diagnosis... still have another 30 or so to go to get to goal... but I feel a ton better! and trust me... I'm not perfect! so if I can do it, you can do it. This diet is the only diet I can lose wt on! it just totaly agrees with me! I love it! Don't be ashamed! It's hard! Those craving are real... your pancreas is used to dumping out insulin in resonse to all the carbs and sugars it's been getting... it will take a bit of time to retrain it to behave! then the cravings will go away and it will get easier. Forget about the shame! We're all here for the same reasons! and we've all goofed up from time to time! You can do it! good for you for posting and starting a journal! yeah for you!!!!!

Thank you ^_^ Glad to be back! having diabetes on both sides of the family is serious and something to keep on mind.. but as long as you are low-carbing, hopefully you have nothing to worry about ^_^ Thank you, and best of luck to you as well!

^_^ Thank you! yep, that is what I'm doing this time..planning, planning and more planning. I know know what I have been doing wrong, I had no serious goal.. I've always wanted to lose the weight for the wrong reasons, but this time it has come down to one simple fact, either I deal with it now or suffer for the rest of my life Thank you again, and honestly, this is the only place I know I can come back to for support, advice and real friends.
