    its sunday morning and i am reporting in

    a little sore from yesterdays BOOT CAMP class....but i will survive!! i did walk for 30 minutes earlier this morning.

      Good Morning Everyone,


      Well this is the last day of induction! I am planning on going on to OWL tomorrow. I am a little anxious about it, not sure if I understand it all so I am going to have to drag out the book (DANDR) again today and read over the section on OWL. From what I understand I move to Veggies and just add 5gms of veggies every other day to see how I do on it?

      Today we are going to church then I will come home and get my exercise in. I might even take a nap since DH's snoring kept me awake last night and on top of that our evil kitty kept wanting to get under the covers. Weird cat!

      Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and are enjoying your weekend.

        What is weird about that??? My cat Sheena sleeps under the covers on DH's body pillow every night! Too cute!

          Morning!

          Weighed in at 114 - happy about that So yesterday I ran for 2.5 miles, which was almost 35min. I think today, I'm going to push it and go for 40min and see where I'm at. I never thought I would enjoy running so much, but I do!! Also going to do a little upper body resistance. Spin class is tomorrow....
          Did my Sunday morning groc. shopping - got that out of the way - later today, I am going for a Seaweed Body Wrap & Massage and the spa today - so excited!

            Checking in. Finished week one induction and lost 4 pounds. Also finished week one of the C25K challenge.

            Deb - I feel your pain on the snoring husband. It can be horrible this time of year.
            Oz - I have a dog that sleeps under the covers. He is a snuggle monster.
            Colleenie - Colleen is my name too! I have to do afternoon grocery shopping. I plan to go when the football game is on. There are less crowds then!

              Morning, all!

              I woke up early with dh but went back to sleep when he left for work. Just woke up and I'm having breakfast and a cup of coffee.

              Today is a rest day for me in terms of workout. I ran/walked 2miles yesterday and also spent 30 min. at the gym on the elliptical trainer, and when I woke up this morning my body was definately in need of a rest day. No question. And I obey!

              Not much going on today. Some cleaning, organizing, moving a couple of pieces of furniture around. Nothing urgent or too strenuous. It's a beautiful day out so I'll open all the windows and air out the house.

              Don't forget to do one nice thing for yourself today, and post it on the thread below!

                Good Morning Stacers!
                down another lb again today! I'm in shock!!! hope it lasts til tomorrow when I do my official weigh in for New Year New You!
                Yesterday at work my co-worker kept taunting me with her jello cake saying 'why can't you eat just a little piece and then do extra exercise...' I held strong... resisted the evil one... ha! It looked so good... but I wasn't really tempted. mostly annoyed with her insistence that I had to have some...
                Hey Deb! You need ear plugs! Now I can't sleep without them!
                I have to go into work an extra hour early today to do some extra stuff that needs doing... so just having a quiet morning until I leave the house at 11. I'm hoping with all the football games today MAYBE we'll have a quieter day???? I doubt it though... Why is the Charger game so early? 10am that's crazy?

                Do something nice for myself... drink my water, stay on plan, take my lunch break, don't stress the small stuff...

                  Good morning all. It's a beautifully sunny morning here, slept in till 10:30. Boy I needed that extra time. We're heading out to a Home Show today, to get some ideas about re-modelling our kitchen. After that, back home, and I will be starting the slim in 6 program. Late last night, I watched the infomercial on t.v., and decided, that since it is 7 weeks till our cruise, this is perfect timing to do it. Last time, I did the slim in 6 program, I lost alot of inches, and weight of course too. So off I go!

                    Debby, it is always a good idea to review the book, but I wanted to remind you about the stickies at the top of the OWL forum. When it came to OWL, I actually found that reading them really helped me to understand things much better. I would also recommend that you start spending some time in that forum, if you don't already. There is always someone in there who can help you with any questions, and there's lots of good posts that you can read in there.

                    All of the stickies are good, and I would read all of them. Here is a link to one of them, to get you started (I think it's the second one).

                    Like I said, try to look at all of them. A lot of them talk about the same things, but the way something is said in one, and not another, may help you.

                    There are a couple of different ways to go up the rungs... the way I chose was to stay on the veggie rung for a couple of months. I tried lots of new veggies, as I knew that I would be getting most of my carbs from veggies in Maintenance. On the weeks that I didn't add new foods, I upped my carbs by 5, to search for my CCLL. Once I got up to about 30 net carbs, I started going further up the ladder, substituting 5 of those net carbs that I was getting with extra veggies, for something else, like cottage cheese. Since cottage cheese was new, I had it 3 times during the first week without a problem. Then I could have it more often. I just always made sure that I didn't increase the carbs and introduce a new food on the same week, because if you had a problem, you wouldn't know if it was the extra carbs or the new food that triggered it. So, I alternated. I ended up being able to eat about 40 net carbs and still average between 1 and 2 pounds lost a week. Everyone is different, though, so you will have to see what your body can tolerate. Don't be afraid - you can do it.

                    Good to hear from everyone... I will be doing paperwork and housework today. Yuck

                      Hello All,
                      I'm Danielle and this is the first day of my induction restart. I did Atkins a few years back and lost about 75 pounds but have gained almost all of it back in the last few years. I just had my 4th baby in August and am looking forward to getting with the program and losing some major weight by this time next year.

                          Hello everyone. Day 13 for me and I can't believe how much more energy I have. Each day I am able to keep pushing myself a little bit further, and I'm loving it instead of loathing it. Got up at 5am and walked for one and a half hours. I also plan on doing some yoga this afternoon. It has become a Sunday afternoon ritual for me, and a nice way to finish off the weekend.

                              Hi All, I'm still going day 17 for me.
                              I know I've lost weight but it doesn't show on the scale.
                              Probably because I'm not going to the bathroom like I should.
                              But I see it so that's good enough for me.
                              I did have oil and vinegar in my salad last night and it was
                              balsamic. I was caught between a rock and a hard place with that issue.
                              It wasn't much tho and tonight I had 6 ounces of wine that I couldn't resist.
                              Other than that I'm still on track. I hope that didn't mess me up.
