Wow this is really weird. TOM arrived a little while ago and took me completely by suprise. I did not have cramps, pms craziness or anything to alert me that it was coming. Before Atkins I could count on 2 or 3 days of being "whacked out", grouchy and feeling bad. I didn't have any of it this time. Anyone else experience this change? I have been doing Atkins since 12/31/07.

Re: PMS Changes
Mine is better too - and I was the world's grouchiest person always. I am not pollyanna now, but its better.
My dates are all over the place though, and TOM can be here for 3 days or 10 - it's totally out of whack. But fat in women is hormonally active and can store and release estrogen, so when you are breaking fat down it plays havoc with your hormones for a while. It will apparantly, as Emma says, sort itself out after a while.Kate

Re: PMS Changes
Oh my I wish my TOM would be better. I usually have a pretty normal period w/ no pain, but this week has been SO BAD!! Cramps and headaches, just the dumps. Oh, and my husbands usually tells me to eat some carbs, so you know it is bad when he is begging me to eat some carbs!!!!- Randi

Re: PMS Changes
I don't know if this is a "one off" thing for me or not since I have only been on the diet since Dec. 31st and this is my first TOM since beginning the diet, but let me tell you I am sure hoping it keeps up this way!!!
Randiman
LOL your husband begging you to eat carbs. Too funny.
Jess
I am feeling like you now. Kinda settled and sorted out. Like I said, hope it lasts!

Come to think of it I am a little bit early, about a week. My hormones must be all over the place then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: PMS Changes
When I was on it before, was totally the same, no symptoms, came and didn't even realize it was time! Because I just started back on this WOE, I could really tell the difference this last month! One more reason to stick to the WOE!
