  • Finally realized "the perfect day to start back" would never come...

I decided upon waking up this morning that I was tired of making excuses for 'not starting' my diet. I was waiting for the perfect day... everything planned, everything bought, work calming down so I could exercise more... blah blah blah.

I realized this morning that would never come. So I fried 3 eggs, said goodbye to my darling diet soda and drank water.

Overall, it was a great day. Even shopping in the evening with my wife went well. I was very hungry, but never once was I even tempted, I was just hungry. There's such a big difference in that state of mind. It made it easy to shop well and move forward, instead of looking back over my shoulder at whatever food I might have been missing.

Hopefully tomorrow is just as good.

It is great that you realized the perfect day never comes & just got started!!!

Come here often...lots of knowledge, help, encouragement & humor. Post often, start a journal and join a challenge or two. Keep your DANDR (2002 version) handy to refer to often. Don't forget to take your measurements so you can keep track of the inches you lose.

If you are hungry eat some protein/fat!!!

      Thanks OzLover.

My wife and I did proper atkins for about 18 months and enjoyed it, fortunately I've got a decent amount of knowledge behind me, my problem was practicing what I preach. Until today that is.
