  • HELP HELP have the weekend munchies!!

    Okay i can't leave the house just yet and its only 1130 and i have had 1/4 cup of shredded zuchinini, bacon and 2 eggs, and sausage with cheese in them as well as a rootbeer float but now i have the munchies (probably the caffine), i have done things around the house to get my mind off it even my favorite pasttime of curling up with a favorite book, as well as browsing the site, but i am litterally sitting here saying NO NO NO !!! as i want to go make another rootbeer float, i have drank water galore, its not something sweet i have a taste for even though the float was really good lol i have the munchies!!!

    Any ideas or advice --i will be making lunch in about a 1/2 hour or so but want to munch now!!! maybe i will go have some celery and cream cheese or wrap that in a little ham.

    Okay yes i am going that way lol... gar sometimes weekends are so much harder than work days!! lol i am in a house full of food, legal food, but food nonetheless that i can't escape from just now.

    IMO

    If you are going to go overboard, do it on 'salad' veggies. Celery, cucumber, pieces of lettuce. Cut it up in small pieces and then 'graze' on that.

    It would be better to quash that urge to graze, though.

    I know what you are going through, though. It's tough. Do something ACTIVE? Get some canned something and do weight lifting. March in place for 30 minutes before you eat...anything to occupy yourself and do something HEALTHY.

      Are you in induction? If so, go for it. Eat. But as Valid says, do it on legal foods. Make sure there's fat in whatever you eat.

      If you are further along, you should still eat. With veggies only. Well, veggies and FAT.

        Hi,

        We've all been there - and these guys gave given you some great advice!

        You could try making a list (actual or mental) of the pros and cons of eating what you shouldn't. They'll be a lot of things on the cons - may come out of ketosis, doesn't help you get nearer to goal, will feel annoyed afterwards, etc, and very little on the pros. Momentary taste sensation is never worth it - I have learned this the HARD way.

          gaaa lol, okay i think i am okay, i had 2 thin slices of ham with celery and some cream cheese, the crunch helped i think big time. thanks for the fast replies!

              Yes it did thank you!! I had some celery with cream cheese and 2 slices of ham which seemed to hit the spot with everything, i think it was the crunch i was needing after having the sweetness of the diet rootbeer and dairy together.
