  • Tuesday Roll Call 01/22/08

    Wow I'm the first one! First time!

    I'm still doing well as far as the eating goes (aside from probably a bit too much p. butter), not so much with the exercise however... but I went to Sears yesterday and looked at a treadmill yesterday that I think i'm going to buy, a Proform 'crosswalk' it's a treadmill with optional arm poles (like x-country skiing...which i do when we have snow!). I'm not a marathon runner, but can jog 30 mins or so, so i'm thinking an entry level (and cheaper!) treadmill like this should be sufficient. ...

    Hoping to get hubby interested in the treadmill as well, he's lifted weights for years so he's in great shape muscle wise, but terrible for doing cardio.

    I am also doing well with my food & H20 intake but lacking in the exercise department. Need to work on that & get my butt in gear.

      good morning, I'm good, it's cold here, and I ran in really cold weather yesterday and think I'll bike inside today....hope every one stays warm!

        good for you Jess running outside in the winter! I don't know how you do it, i just can't bring myself to run outside in the cold, if it wasn't for my dog insisting, i wouldn't go out at all!

          Good morning everyone. Should be warmer today, maybe 32F. Yea!

          I had a nice birthday yesterday. I haven't tried my key lime cheesecake yet since I made it too late to be properly chilled. Dh put it in the car to chill since there wasn't room in the fridge and we forgot about it! Hmmmm, breakfast maybe?

          Dh gave me a belly dance scarf. You know, with all the "gold coins" on it, so it really makes a lot of noice when I shake my hips. I think this was the motivation I needed to sign up for lessons again. It was so much fun last time and I've lost over 50lbs since then, so it should be even better this time around.

            belly dancing sounds so fun!!

            I'm here... yesterday went well until at ten when I washed the hair dye out of my hair - I am now a Vitamin C look-a-like...

              We are supposed to get up to 40 today which is exciting... maybe some of these dang waterers will stop freezing for 1 night!

              I went to bed angry last night so I didn't sleep that well. I think it was more frustration than anything and I still feel it so who knows what the day will end up like. I'm not usually like this I usually get it out and I am done - but this time I just don't feel like sharing.

              I need to hit the store either today or tomorrow and it might just be tomorrow cause I don't feel like going anywhere besides getting hog feed which is right down the road. But I do need stuff for salads... I miss my salads (omg my mother would crack up if she read that!)

              Weighed in at 150 this morning.... just want to see 149!!

              Sheepie - go for the belly dancing!!! I'd love to be able to take a class because it looks like such fun - they just never have them when I would be ABLE to go!!

                Morning, all!

                Well, it's back to work today. I am up, made lunches for everyone, and am having a cup of coffee before I get to work on my appearance.

                Yesterday evening we picked up dd from the airport (she'd been away for the weekend) and then she and I headed to the gym for a major abs and legs workout. We were SOOO ready for the jaccuzzi after! Alas, I have lost TWO bathing suits at the gym, so I was forced to wear spandex bike shorts and sports bra. I've seen worse at the gym, but I can't wait for next weekend when I can get a new suit! lol

                Today is a loooong day. I teach from 7:30 to 2:30, then have a class from 5:30 to 8:15. I've got snacks to take to the evening episode all ready, and I will have time between our arrival from the day jobs and the time I have to go drive dh to his second job to make myself an omelette. Good planning is the KEY!

                  Morning all, i've been on a stall for a few days, grrrrr, but i'm hoping it stress related, cause i go take my national registry test for the EMT class i took. Gonna be a bugger, but I'll be so happy if i pass it.

                    I am doing okay but suffering through TOM. Does anyone else find they stall for at least whole week with TOM? It drives me crazy!

                      I'm running this morning but wanted to pop in and say good morning before the day swallows me .......... I did my work outs this morning bright and early and now am on the go all day .............. stay legal my friends!!!!!!!!

                        I usually stall from ovulation onward. Very frustrating.

                        Update: I did have cheesecake for breakfast. It seemed so decadent! And I emailed the belly dance instructor and I'm waiting to hear back from her.

                          Good morning, all! Back at school today and the kids are a little wound up. That's to be expected, I guess, after a 5 day weekend!

                          TOM is visiting me, too. Not good because I am craving salt. Jeez. So, I'm really making sure that I get my water in.

                          Had two fried eggs with butter and some Scooter sausage this morning. Already had a morning snack of 1oz cheddar cheese.

                          They're calling for more yucky weather today. Snow, turning to sleet and/or freezing rain. I hate when it starts in the middle of the day because we never know whether or not to let out early or give VDOT time to salt and leave on time. I wouldn't want to make that call!

                            Hey everyone!!
                            Well I am doing great and feeling great! I am .2 pounds from my ticker weight and I am still having TOM so I excited to move that ticker lower when the week is over!! I have been doing great exercising and hope I can keep it up!!

                              Morning all!

                              Weighed in at 114 this morn - same ol, same ol - up, down, up down - I know, shut up about the 1 lb weight loss/gain. Doesn't matter how close I am to goal, it doesn't make it any less frustrating.
                              Anyhoooooooooooo - I am having lunch with a pal I used to work with. After nappytime, I'm taking the chitlins to the gym and running for 4 miles before I have yoga class. After dinner, I have H.S. registration with my 13 year old and then I think some sleeping pills will be calling my name
                              Does anyone else have trouble sleeping? I've always been a thinker, everytime I lay my head down, I run numbers, scenarios, etc.. Doesn't matter how much exercise I get in a day, doesn't matter if I'm on Atkins or not, I just can't get to sleep. Hums....
