    Good morning everybody!

Today is going to be a great day, I can feel it!!!

I, myself, had no weigh loss or gain... I think I should focus on portions also, not just carb counts. We'll see how that works out.

I'm gonna get some exercise in today for sure! I have to clean two big houses back to back!!

I hope everyone has an awesome legal day!!!

    Re: Roll Call 1-31-8

Morning everyone! I still have some cramps from eating the dang cookie dough.... but I'll survive - LOL. I just need to make at least 1 more batch today and start making bread for this weekend. It was kinda nice I didn't have to make it before because they stuck me right next to the baker... but since he's closed shop (totally unexpected) I guess I could use a few extra bucks - LOL.

I made sugar free ones with ~3 carbs each in them also. Dana Carpenter's recipe - on the carbsmart choc chip bag. Only difference is my protein powder has 0 carbs so I'm not sure how that effects the net carb count and right now I am too lazy to plug it all in to any program which would tell me.

So I need to go shopping today for all these wonderful baking goodies and I need to start baking. For me not a bad way to spend the day - honestly. I find baking relaxing - especially since I don't trust my oven completely I get to sit read and watch the oven when I bake cookies.

Gotta run! Everyone have a great day!!

        Good morning! Happy Thursday!

Yes, today IS going to be a great day! I'm going to really watch things for the next three days. I just want to drop a pound by Sunday. I can't wait to cook some of the great low-carb recipes shared here for the Super Bowl.

Chica, I too love to bake....There are some really great lc recipes out there...I had a almond cake recipe that I had posted a couple of years ago i'll do a search for it. It's amazing! goes great with berries and cream! I find protein powders and ground almonds to be the ingredients that are staples for me.

For Christmas I bought myself a kitchenaid ultra stand mixer...it's made baking even more fun..i've wanted one for years. for me it was like getting a new car!

I'm still on track...but i've become really bored with food. Not that I don't have foods in the house, i just dont know what i want. I hate when i get like this. just don't feel like cooking and really not sure what i'm in the mood for to begin with..hope it passes soon.

On a happier note I ordered my new treadmill yesterday, should get it by Feb 6th . It's a Proform 'Crosswalk' it's a treadmill but had 2 'arms' for x-county skiing type movements to tone arms and up the cardio. The only downfall was it's $599 here, and only $349 in the US...both at Sears. I tried to bargain with them and get the price down but no go, it was wishful thinking i guess with a big dept store. It's so unfair we have to pay so much more for things...This is why i have to make 2 or 3 Buffalo NY shopping trips each year!

Morning, all! We're going to be late for work because we have a flat tire and Discount Tire doesn't open until 8. So we kinda have been lazing around here this morning.

Scale is 201. TOM due any day now. It's at least 5 lbs of water retention, given my low weight last week. <sigh>

Last night's workout was a killer, and I hope to get in another one tonight after a brief meeting at the University. Woo hoo!

                    Hey all!

It's another cold day here in Montana. -15, but hopefully it will get up to 30 above for the weekend! WHOOOHOOO! I don't want to hear any of you southerners complain about it being 45 degrees, ok?

I'm getting nervous and anxious. I haven't weighed since December 31st, and I'll be weighing myself tomorrow morning (if I have the guts to do it). I know I've at least maintained, if not lost a couple of pounds...I'd love to see 169, but I'll be happy with 172!

                    Have a great Thursday, all!

                      Morning!

I am super sore this morning! From swimming my hiney off yesterday morning and followed it up with a boot camp class - my body is tired....

I can tell I'm retaining water. I can feel it in my hands. Could it be from the two-a-days I have been doing at the gym? TOM was a couple of weeks ago, so I know that's not it. I cut all extra salt out of my menu. Cut out my beloved Coke Zero. Oh well... This too shall pass....

I am going to hot yoga tonight. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, you are in a room, heated to 105 and the instructor leads your through your series - I am so excited! This is the first time I've ever been - I have a couple of friends who went and say it's fab - we'll see!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

                        hot yoga sounds divine!

julie, I'm crossing my fingers that you hit 169

evermind, I'm feelin ya. I'm at 179 still, legs are puffy.

I'm here, happy, eating well, drinking. A bit dehydrated though. I don't understand because I'm drinking OVER a gallon a day. even though I'm retaining water, I'm dehydrated. Lips dry and cracking, feet cramping. It's got to be due to running the half marathon. I'll be glad when this passes.

Went to an hour and a half ashtanga power yoga last night. It was awesome. Going today for flowing yoga at lunch to work on opening my hips. I can't wait.

Good Morning everyone. I'm really enjoying the Slim in 6 workout! Just about fininshed week 3, and those mat excercises are still a killer. But the results are great, and very worthwhile the effort. Just got into a pair of pants this morning, that I could't zip up the last few months. What a great surprize this morning!

This is just normal winter for me, i'm like that from Nov to May..i guess down in FLA you don't get the dry air in the winter. I could drink 5 gallons of water and still be parched, skin and all. It's a horrible feeling!

A suggestion, for the dry lips, Carmex is great stuff, as is Burts Bees lip balm. i also 'brush' my lips with my toothbrush to exfoliate them...it reallyhelps. I'm the queen of chapped lips!
