I just got back from the grocery store with induction friendly foods, and damnit, I'm starting this tomorrow! I've been on & off the program before, but the last time I did it successfully was like 3-4 YEARS ago. I'm now about 50-60 pounds heavier. Yay Monday!

Re: Starting Monday!
Morning group. Thanks for the support. I'm sitting here polishing off my bacon & scrambled egg breakfast. I plan to have tuna fish for lunch with some celery sticks and maybe a string cheese stick for a snack. I know I need more veggies, but that will have to come at supper time tonight.
Biggest challenge to face today: I work in an office where we are required to bake cookies for our guests. I can resist, I can resist, I can resist......

Welcome back. Do it, do it for you. Make solid plans on what you'll eat, what exercises you'll do and when you'll do them. Drink water and make friends here. You've read the book? Dr. Atkins new Diet Revolution, edition 2002? It is the best resource and money you'll ever spend. It is filled with so much motivation, advice, case studies, recipes and inspiration...it just keeps giving each time you read it. If not, I'd suggest getting it and reading and planning your success. You can do this! We are all here for you!Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.

Re: Starting Monday!
Hi Dreamof145, Yes, I've read DANDR 2002, and I'm re-reading it again this time just for the reinforcement!
Day 1 was good for the most part, although if I'm being honest I did slip up in the middle of the day. I am a stress eater and my job is so stressful that I have full blown panic attacks where I have to lock myself in my office until it passes. Dramatic enough for ya? I'm not saying that's an excuse, but it's definitely a whopper of a hurdle. So, all in all, today wasn't too bad, and I've already packed my lunch for tomorrow!
