Hello Everyone!
I'm not new to the Atkins lifestyle and know the routine, I just need to stick with it. It's really difficult in the beginning, isn't it?! Well, for me it is since I'm a pastry addict. I'm starting AGAIN for the LAST TIME tomorrow.
I started Atkins 1 year after my first child was born and lost 50 lbs. in about 8 months. My husband and I then decided to have a second child and of course I went back into an eating frenzy (lots of pastry of course
) and gained all that weight back plus more.
(second child is almost 3 now)
I started Atkins again during this past summer and took off 30+ lbs. but about 3 months ago I took a wrong turn and have since gained about 15 lbs. back. During these last 3 weeks I decided to try the "low cal, minimal fat" thing that we all did in the past and boy do I feel awful! I'm tired all the time, feel very bloated and am CONSTANTLY hungry!!! And, I feel this way while exercising for 1 hr. 3-5 times a week (cardio and weights).
So, I have decided that although I love the "low calorie" yogurts and snack bars, "100 calorie packs" of cookies, etc.... I need to get back to feeling great again. I have felt the best while living the Atkins lifestyle and know that I have to do it for life! Boy, that sugar, white flour, etc. really does a number on the old body! I don't know how anyone can function properly while doing the "low cal, low fat" thing anymore.
I'll be in and out of here daily so don't be surprised if I give some of you a friendly "hello"! These first two weeks will be brutal on me so I'm glad I have people here who can relate.
I'm 36 yrs. old, have 2 kids and a husband and I have about 65 lbs. to lose.
Thanks in advance for the support!
