Hi Christine and welcome to the "family." You mentioned something about wanting to make stuffed jalepenos. If you go to this website there is a wonderful looking induction friendly recipe for those.
      www.genaw.com/lowcarb

I was looking at that site yesterday and found so many yummy looking things there. I have often read posts where people say they get bored with this WOE. I honestly don't see how that is possible. There are plenty of options available. I think people just have this notion that inducion is all about meat, cheese, and eggs. In reality that is merely a small part of the picture.

Everyone here has given you such good advice. The only thing I would recommend to you is staying off the scale for a while. When one is first starting out the scale can be quite discouraging. I really think that is why some people give up and quit. The numbers are not going down fast enough to suit them. Take measurements. Base your progress on how your clothes are fitting. When I started this WOE on Jan 23rd I had outgrown all of my jeans. I couldn't get them over my behind. This morning I tried on a pair. And guess what?! I could get them all the way up to my waist. I couldn't quite button them. But, I am a lot closer to fitting them than I was a month ago. That means far more to me than what some number on a scale says.

I wish you much success on your journey. We're all in this together.

You know, the hardest part about change is taking that first step. This WOL does take a commitment. The best part is that you are doing this for yourself. This was the hardest part for me. I always took a back seat. The first time I did Atkins, it was for my husband. I lost 40 pounds and looked and felt great. I honestly didn't like the extra attention that the new body brought me so I slowly started to revert back to old habits and before I knew it, several years later, I felt miserable. Over the holidays, I took a long hard look at what I wanted. I wanted to be healthy, I wanted to feel confident in shorts and cute tops, I wanted to bring the "me" inside to the outside. I knew Atkins worked so I made a firm commitment to myself that I would give it my all. Does that mean that I am perfect at this? Heck no, but I pick myself right back up and keep going. My point is, if you do this for anyone but yourself, it's so much harder to be successful. The only person you are accounntable to is yourself. This site is tremendous with support and advice. I am so lucky that I stumbled across it. Now it is part of my daily routine. I keep a journal of food that I eat. If I'm down, I write it out so it's out of my system. Be proud of yourself for taking the most important step of all - taking care of you! I'm so sorry you are down, but stick with it and you won't stop smiling because each day is new and one step closer to your goal. Someone wrote here one time - "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels". I recite this everyday. You can do it! I agree that you should write out your goals and refer to them. Tweak them. Before you know, all of your shirts will button. Before you know it, you'll be walking for exercise and you will feel awesome. Sorry to keep going on and on, but I do know how you feel as do many others here. You have friends here.

        I KNOW I CAN...I KNOW I CAN...I KNOW I CAN!!!!!

100 ounces of water a day!
