  • Roll Call Sunday 2/24! Morning yall!!

    hi yall,

    starting the roll call early!! having a great weekend so far, planning church, a long run, and then relaxing this afternoon.

    adjusting my goal weight down by 5 lbs, for some reason i am in a WHOOSH lately and i want to ride this out while i can!!! my next stall, i think, is going to be renamed "GOAL". i thought this whole time my goal would be 150, but now that i am here and losing, i am going to go with it! i gave up overeating for lent, and it is amazing how being aware of overeating really makes it apparent how much it happens. for me, at least. one of the things i am sure i will always have to be mindful of, no matter what my size.

    hope everyone has a relaxing and restful sunday and that all the sniffles/colds/flus/herniated discs are gone soon!!! congrats to those who have broken through stalls, and much support going out for those who are up 5lbs and thinking they have yeast---hang in there!!!

    Wow! I can't believe how much weight you've lost - did you start in October? Your pics are amazing. You are a real inspiration as I weigh almost exactly what you weighed when you started out.

    I would get that Saab on order if I were you - you definitely deserve it. xxx

    All OK with me. Starting to feel better now and cough finally clearing up. I am on day five and had a sneaky look on the scales this morning and I can't believe the result!! I will have my official weigh in on Wednesday (day seven) so will see what it says then.

    I have bought the Atkins journal which I am finding useful. I have also bought a crock pot so need some recipes - am going to post a separate thread.

      Good Morning.. I am so very tired this morning..and I will be out and about ALL Day.. Church this morning.. Then lunch at a friends... Then Youth at Church this evening.. Going to take my Atkins Folder of Recipes and try to find a couple of things I can fix to stretch over a week for me to get myself back on track...

        partytrouble - Thats awesome!! Congrats!! Send some of that whooshie dust my way!

        My arms are sore from KenpoX yesterday and working on the pull-up bar the day before. I'm still up a pound. Bout to do some major menu modifications. I'm still working on getting all the percentages right again. Hopefully that will get the ball rolling.

          Partytrouble, you are doing GREAT!! Congrats on more weight loss. Have you test-driven a Saab lately?

          Zarabelle, tsk-tsk on peaking! LOL! I can't go a day w/o looking, twice. I wonder if Zarabelle is your real name. I've never heard it before, but I LOVE it!!

          Sandy, I'm glad that you're finally getting ready to start again. Once you really get on track and stay there you will feel so much better.

          Beanpole, great work on the pull up bar. Just the thought scares me!

          Not much going on here. I've been taking zinc for over a week and I've fought off whatever bug I was getting. If I get sick, it'll be something else at this point. Feeling good! I think a couple of sunny days helps too. I brought home 37+ paint chips last night. I want to colorize my life! Really, I'm tired of ivory walls, white snow and gray skies. I'm ready to go overboard with color!!

            Hey guys! So I am super excited - weight is the same but who cares I'm happy and healthy (even with my throat a little sore) I think it's my sodium intake that's keeping my weight up.

            Party - I wanna see you in a convertible soon!! You so deserve it!

            Zara - go under recipes and even on Linda's website... in the recipes section here Party put up a GREAT shredded pork recipe for enchilladas etc.

            Well new farm stuff - I got more goats yesterday. Wasn't really PLANNING on it. But it was a deal I couldn't pass up. So now I have over 24 goats (including babies) here..... they are dual purpose which means they are for dairy AND for meat.... I am hoping to try and make some cheese

              It is a beautiful sunny day here in Vermont!!! The cats are enjoying the rays & sprawled out all over the living room rug.

              Quiet day here. Going to do some cooking for the week. Going to make our favorite dinner again. You should all try it! DH asks me to make it as he loves it!!

                  I just joined the forum and am about to enjoy a relaxing Sunday but I am off to my first spinning class. I wanted to go yesterday but the class was full!!! WISH ME LUCK!!!

                        Morning!

                        Well, it's raining here in San Diego........AGAIN. I think this is 2 straight weeks. The weathermen promise that this coming week will be full of warmth and sunshine, but I gotta tell you, the cold dampness is in my bones!

                        Had a good workout yesterday evening with dd. 45 min of cardio, then the jacuzzi and then the sauna, where I deep conditioned my hair and did a face masque and scrubbed my body with a moisturizing scrub. I felt soooo soft when I got out!

                        I spent most of yesterday doing housecleaning because I couldn't get motivated to do school work! Yikes! I hope to get something academic done today, but frankly, I've been up for more than an hour and I'm still playing word games on pogo.com................<sigh>

                        The dollar store (my favorite place to go waste time before other places open!) had blueberries yesterday, so I bought a ton and this morning am enjoying my favorite low carb almond meal pudding with berries - yummy! I haven't had berries in a long while. I think I may scour the recipe sites for some new ideas, though I'm a creature of habit and like the same foods every single day for months at a time.

                        It's nice to see so many people at STAC. I'm continually inspired by longtimers like Jess and PartyTrouble, and equally motivated by newer folks, who just keep on truckin' and rack up tremendous success in the form of pounds lost, inches lost, and/or attitude.

                        One thing I've noticed is that we've had a definate slide downwards in the area of excuse-making. Everyone is holding themselves accountable, not blaming slip-ups on anyone or anything, not claiming there was a good reason. And because of this, there are fewer and fewer drops off the wagon for a few days or weeks at a time. That's a good thing. Something we should recognize and celebrate.

                        Have an excellent day today. Do one nice thing for someone you love, with no expectation of a returned favor. Oh, and let that someone you love be........YOU.

                            I am so happy this morning! I got on the scale and found that I have finally reached ONDERLAND!!! thats right! 199 lbs!! I LOVE THIS WOL!!

                            I can already start to see the outline of where my ribcage should be, and my hips. My stomach is already starting to look flatter also! I know my bf already cant keep his hands off me

                            I'm off to go do my official workout of the day. I think my bf and I are also gonna take our dog and go hiking if the weather is nice. it was nice yesterday so chances are....

                            HAPPY LOW CARBING EVERYONE!! We deserve it!

                              Early Sunday morning grocery shopping is done! It's my 2 year old's date with Daddy day, so I have the two other chitlins, who will be going to the gym with me.
                              I plan on running, hitting the stairmaster and working those leglets of mine

                              I love Oscar Night! I am such an flaming dork - I seriously look forward to this night.
