    Morning!

    It's supposed to be a beautiful sunny day here, and although I do not trust the weather reports, I have hopes.

    Lunches are made, and mine is yummy: pumpkin for mid-morning breakfast/snack; a cucumber chopped with blue cheese dressing; zuchini with cheese, 2 devilled eggs. Mid-afternoon snack: blueberries! When I get home, I've got spaghetti squash with butter, followed by a workout, then eggs for dinner. Yummy day!

    Both my dh and my dd announced yesterday that my legs and butt look awesome - very "skinny". I was, of course, jazzed, and floated thru the day. I am going to try a new (old, but skinnier) pair of jeans today to see if they fit. Who knows? If not, no biggie.

    I was thinking about stuff yesterday and I decided that ENTHUSIASM is a key ingredient in a healthy lifestyle. We're a cynical people, and often we take for granted or shrug off the great, yet small things in life. Then we wonder why we don't have a more positive attitude. Well, it's enthusiasm. We need to live with gusto. Got a great lunch? Celebrate it. Having fun at work? Put a little jump in your step. Planning something special? Take joy in the planning as well as the event. Found a great new recipe? Chortle and make it more than once.

    Keep a list handy of things you love to do when you have 5 minutes, 1/2 hour, 2 hours. Consult it when you aren't busy. DO something from the list! Bounce over to your nearest loved one, give him/her a smacking big kiss, and announce "You are GREAT!". Then bounce away. (it's contageous!)

    Now, go live with enthusiasm today.

    evermind, great post!! your positivity is refreshing. your skinny jeans are going to fit so much better, just you wait!!!!

    i am continuing on my wierd whoosh, but not complaining! not sure why it is coming off. i really think having the mono over the holidays not only jump started my wt loss, but i think it decreased my overall appetite somehow. now that i am able to exercise again, i could not be happier!! ran 8 miles yesterday, so taking a couple days off. my legs were very tired at night, to the point where i woke up overnight with them just aching/unable to relax, so i am taking a cue from my body and resting.

            Hey all!

            Evermind--GREAT POST! Geez, do you teach English or something?

            I'm feeling good this morning. Quite well-rested, lots of energy. I hope that today is not going to be a HUNGRY day because I probably don't have quite enough food packed for one of those. After work it's to the gym to do some cross-training. Yesterday was my "long" run of the week, 7 miles, and I'm slowly building up mileage for the race.

            I've been researching the cost of this half marathon...it's going to be a pretty penny, but I think it will be a worthwhile experience. I just hope I'll be able to afford it!!!

              Great post Evermind and great replies everyone! Talk about getting me motivated!

              Great morning today! Something about a Monday gets me more motivated to start the week off in an amazing way and that I have! I went spinning yesterday. It was a huge challenge for me but I cannot wait until I can master the class! I stepped on the scale this morning and I am down 6.5 pounds since I started induction last Wednesday! So it's not even a week in and I weight that much less!! YAY! I didn't take my first measurements until Saturday but I am excited to see where it comes off!!!

              I walked to work this morning...it's a good half hour walk at a quick pace. I am going to walk home tonight, too! I just hope the weather keeps up the way it is so that I can keep walking!

                Emotional rollorcoaster this weekend..

                I fit into a pair of size 9 pants and was so ecstatic that I went on a mall shopping spree. I got a ton of stuff to wear at my show on Saturday night, had my friends over, had a great time. It was our best show yet.. until my drummer told us we was leaving. So now we have to go through the stress of replacing him. My dad took me and the boyfriend out on Sunday and I was so depressed that I actually gave in when the waitress accidentally gave me ice cream (we all got one for free), and the guilt of wasting food combined with my depression led to a soft serve binge. I feel terrible for it, but it didn't lead to more cheating. I just want this nightmare to end.

                    I posted in the other roll call but I thought I would share here too--

                    Today is my busy day so it is the hardest for me, I've planned ahead though and I should be fine! The new 6WEC challenge started yesterday and this time I'm going to try to really push myself more than before. I stepped on the scale this morning- 201.6! I'm so close to onederland I can taste it (and it tastes like steak or something equally as low carb and tasty!).

                      My mom stopped by to visit this morning and brought the boys cupcakes, M&Ms, and two packs of Fudge Shoppe cookies....I'm fine with the cookies and okay with the M&Ms, but I think that I could just die looking at those cupcakes. It doesn't help any that I've been discouraged about gaining a pound and not being able to get the scales to move downward in forever. I know if I eat those things, the scales will go up. I don't need any more depression so the cupcakes have been put out of sight for the time being. I'm about to do a major menu makeover. I'm still crunching numbers and trying to figure out how to get the percentages that I want while eating what I prefer. Hopefully that will get the ball rolling again. Have a legal day everyone cause junk only tastes good for a minute and then it goes straight to your !

                        Loved reading your post Evermind.

                        Dutchess sorry to hear about the drummer...and the soft serve BUT good for you for not letting that be the catalyst for totally going off plan. Once one falls completely off plan it seems so dang hard to get back on. So kudos to you.

                        Well I'm think I am finally done throwing temper tantrums about Johnny Depp not winning the Oscar last night and best of all I stayed legal which I was very happy about. I restarted my commitment to this WOE on Wednesday and that Tuesday before I was considering waiting until Monday (today) to start because of the Oscars! Here in L.A. the Oscars are a high holy day!!! LOL! But my two friends were understanding about my choice to lowcarb and didn't bring anything carby which helped. I'm so glad I didn't wait unti today to recommit because I already have a 5 day headstart in getting rid of this unhealthy fat! I feel a little "flu-ish", it could be TOM or induction flu? Can it come this late, 5 days in? Oh well...I'm off to roast some chicken breasts for the week. Haven't had breakfast but am craving more of a cold, sweet breakfast than hot, savory. Probably a tom craving I'm sure. I'm gonna drink a cold diet rootbeer and see if that helps.

                          Today I got to sleep in so I'm very happy about this. I'm about to go do my workout and then have me some breakfast and then start working on my disaster of an apartment. I know my bf would love to come home to a clean place and I like surprising him

                              Howdy!

                              Just got back from the gym. I did a class called Body Flow. It's a Tai Chi, yoga and pilates mix. Didn't care for it too much. It wasn't very challenging -oh well, now I know
                              Down 2 lbs, so now I'm only 3 lbs up from my low - I'm at 115. I'll take it! About time things started moving.... Does this mean that I really don't have candida, if the scale moved a bit?
                              Still waiting for TOM to show up -where the YO is it? Hubby's been snipped... twice, so I know it can't be the dreaded P word... Just waiting....
