Re: Second Time Around (for the second time)

    Hi Armywife
I remember you from way back when (2004!).
I am back here again too. Second week of induction.
I wouldn't worry about living in a small town and so not being able to get hold of low carb products - I am totally convinced they have been my downfall in the past and so am not even having low carb ketchup this time!
Good luck - nice to see you again

Hi Zara! Me too! I think I failed last time because we travel alot and I cant find anything on the road that isnt injected or soaked in some kind of carb. So out of frustration, I just grabbed whatever... This time, NO PRODUCTS! GOT IT! Only fresh and homemade for me and ONLY water. I think I overdid the splenda and cream also.

YES! Throw some yummy butter on your veggies. Cook more with olive oil, eat some mayo with a bunless burger. Mayo based salad dressing, Make garlic butter chicken, steak with garlic butter, etc...

Good luck to you! You've done great so far - congrats on your 5.5lbs - that's awesome!!!

Re: Second Time Around (for the second time)

I have kids and I also used to have a husband who was lactose intolerant. So I'd be cooking for me (mostly dairy), for him (mostly meat) and for the kids (mostly bland).

Nowadays I just have one girl at home and my dh (not lactose intolerant, but wants salsa on everything). We all have different schedules and I am the only one doing Atkins, so I am still cooking 3 different meals.

It's not a biggie for me anymore. I have a set group of things I love to eat, and I make them every week. That way, I don't have to think!
          Start date: 7/29/2007

Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

          Mini goals:

          205 - met 10/17/07
          195 - met 2/20/08
          180

          I survived a two-month stall!
