  • What A Cheek!

I was out with friends for lunch. I had a lovely piece of salmon a lovely green salad with mayo. I also had a large bottle of sparkling mineral water.

As per usual when you do not eat potatoes ect, it becomes a topic of conversation. A friend who I love dearly said she was worried about my woe.

I pointed out to her that my meal was a lot healthier than hers. She had a huge portion of burger, bun and fries, a pint of diet coke, followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard.

In fact every-one incuding her was laughing
    .
I do find though, many people are telling me that it is not good for me, when I see the way they are eating. I smile politely, but in my head I am saying.

    WHAT A CHEEK!

It's true! I know lots of people who think atkins is evil but eat terrible amounts of junk! To avoid it I only tell my closest friends that it is atkins, for the others I say something like "oh, I'm just cutting back on potatoes and things like white flour and sugar..." Everyone always thinks that is a healthy idea but add in that it is atkins and suddenly it is scary!
