One thing I realized is my atkins book is from 1997! I need the one from 2002 correct? Geesh, I'm having some $$$ problems right now, maybe I can buy it used or check it out from the library...How MUCH of a difference is there. Is there just a few things different from my edition that I could figure out by ready some stickies here at ADBB?

I don't know what the differences are, but I can tell you that this support site uses the 2002 edition as "the book"....
I used a copy from the library forever and then I orded a used copy for 3 dollars from Amazon.com74 8/1/06

Understand about $$$ being tight. Check it out from the library but also check used book stores or thrift shops in your area.

There is not a lot of difference. I lost my first 100 pounds with the 1999 edition. The 2002 is the first that gets into 'net' carbs. The biggest difference I have seen in all the 1992 - 2002 editions is what kind of cheeses you can have on induction. Most of the rest of the rules are cut in stone. You will be fine until you can get hold of the 2002 edition. I got three copies of it for less than 10 cent each at a Friends of the Library book sale.

I don't know what the differences are, but I found three extras at a thrift store for about fifty cents each when I was looking to buy another one. Mine was a '97 version to start with and I lost plenty on that. I second the thrift store idea!
