  • Using soup as a stock - help!

    Hi

I notice that people use onion or condensed chicken soup as a stock in their crockpot. All of the onion and chicken soups I've checked are OK carb wise(by the time you make eight portions) but they do contain sugar.... Do you still use them?

I want to make a chicken curry in my crockpot but do not want to slip up over something so silly!

    Any advice?

What are the chances of you boiling a chicken and creating your own broth???? Stay clear of the sugars, and look for a sugar free, or incredibly low carb version.....
I found a spegetti sauce with 1 gm of sugars today, I found that a very good deal!

Thanks Jess. You're right. I just don't want to compromise anything this time. I had some soy sauce the other day which I thought was legal and it definitely stalled me. I still have no idea if it is OK to have from the start or not!
