Can I lose 20 lbs by the 1st of June ? Please any help or tips...I'd be more than grateful...I have no problem with walking 30 mins plus a day plus diet...please please feel free to tip me along... Help. Karen
I'd go for a clothing size rather than a pound thing. The reason I say this is that in my experience, losing inches on this woe is faster than the scale moves.

My tip is just to read the book and follow it closely! Definitely DO exercise and eat right like you mentioned! Work like heck to get there by 1st June but if you don't then it's not the end of the world, you will still have been making healthy choices for your body and you will look better even if you are not down the 20 lbs! It depends on your body, how much you have to lose, your age and all kinds of factors whether you can lose 20 pounds in three months but I just lost 25 pounds in two months so it is doable!
By the way, I second Evermind's suggestion of picking a clothing size instead of a weight! Good luck to you!

you can do it. Follow the book and post your progress regularly. Make the commitment and visualize your ending. Follow the book to a T and exercise regularly. Everyone loses at a different rate. During my induction this time I've lost 10 lbs. I've got 22 left to lose to my goal. I may extend it further.
Last time I did the diet I lost something like 26.5 lbs the first month. I was happy as all get out. Keep focused. You should get a ticker from www.tickerfactory.com to help visualize your progress. Take before and after pictures to help keep you motivated. Not only do I have them in my signature they are on my refridgerator so I see them everytime I open them. Post mini- goals and rewards for them.
and I do agree with evermind.... guage your weightloss by how many inches you've lost since that is the ultimate reward. you could lose 20 lbs and not go down any sizes.
You didn't post what you currently weigh. I would think that 20 pounds is certainly a reasonable goal to attain by June 1st. It all depends on how dedicated you are to following this WOE and exercising. Weightloss slows down the nearer you get to your goal weight. I agree with basing your success on inches lost rather than merely some number on a scale. Good luck to you!
I agree with the others.. It depends on how much you need to lose.. One thing with Atkins is that a lot of times we are down in size before the numbers catch up to us
Thanks everyone..I'm 48 , I'm 5ft 4 and I now weigh 160 my goal weigh is 30 lbs away at 130 but I was shooting for 140 by June 1st....I fiqured I'd have a better chance in getting that....ok I'm a 12 now want to be an 8.
