  • good snacks on the go?

Going to work is my biggest challenge for staying on track. I work at an all day preschool program..so I get to sit through/help serve 2 snacks and an always carb-concious (riight) lunch. I need some help getting through this and keeping my mouth busy during lunch while everyone else mows down! What do you pack for lunch? I think part of my past failures has also been because I start getting bored..obviously I'm not being creative enough.

For work and/or school I usually pack a salad that has some protein in it in a salad shaker. I got 2 of these for only 3 bucks at my local Ralph's grocery store. This is what it looks like...

You place the salad veggies and protein in the bottom part and the dressing goes in the little top part so things stay seperate until your ready to "press and shake" This little thing has been a life saver. Or I just take leftovers of whatever I made for dinner. For snacks I usually take turkey and swiss rollups or some celery filled with brie, hard boiled eggs and once I get to the nut rung, I will be taking some almonds too. HTH

i also take EVERY single one of thosee snacks to work with me...especially the turkey/swiss with some cream cheese in the middle.
string cheese is a lifesaver, literally.
a small bag of pepperoni, too.
              hard boiled eggs.
celery with some blue cheese dressing to dip into
              delish!
