    Hi eveyone

    I hope you guys are well. We have had terrible weather overnight in the UK - strong winds (80mph) and pelting rain. The sun has come out now though which is nice.

    My advice for the day is 'EAT YOUR VEG/SALAD'!! I cut down on carbs to extremely low level on Thurs, Fri and Sat as I had three glasses of dry wine on Friday night for my belated birthday celebration. It was a disaster! I ended up completely blocked up and uncomfortable and 1.5 pounds up until I went to the loo (TMI!!!! ) this morning. I won't be doing that again! In fact, I am off wine now as I got the worst hangover too!

    I am really chuffed as the friend I went out with on Friday was so inspired that she started Atkins yesterday!!!

      Hope you all have a wonderful day. I weigh in today & not looking forward to it. Have spent the week slippin & slidin in this WOE. Have made some bad choices. I'm back on track today & looking forward to continuing this journey!!

        Phase 1 of P90X completed and today is the first day of 'rest week' before phase 2. Did yogaX and now I'm ready to go back to bed. Instead, I need to go get dressed and cook breakfast. Then get the kids ready to go down the road. Busy schedule today. I'm kind of bummed because the scale is back up two pounds. I'm eating legal and sticking to the plan perfectly, I don't understand why the scale isnt showing a loss.


        Zarabelle - Thats awesome that you got your friend on the Atkins wagon! Now you'll have a support buddy close by and you guys will be able to help eachother stay on track.

        Oz - Good luck with the weigh-in! I know its tough getting back on track! Hang in there!!

          Morning? I don't know, it's so dark outside.

          Went to a party yesterday and accidently drank some sweetened tea. I put my liquid Splenda in it before trying it and didn't realized it was already sweetened until my dh had some too and told me. I didn't finish it. It would never occur to me to sweeten tea for guests. Oh well. I feel fine, so I don't think too much damage was done. They had lots of good low carb options..wings, cheese, veggie tray, a few yummy blackberries, so it was easy to avoid the lemon squares and birthday cake.

            I can't believe they sweetened your tea Sheepie! I would have been so cross!

            Am off now to brave the weather - it is pouring down so I am going to take the car to pick up my eldest from nursery.

            When the girls' go to bed, I am going to do my first work out in MONTHS! I had a hernia so wasn't allowed to exercise.

              Good Monday morning STACers !! Hope this starts an amazing week for all of us !!

              Today will be a light day for me - not too much on the schedule since I got a ton done over the weekend

              I am happy to say that my pants fit looser regardless of what the scale says at times. That is a HUGE motivation for me but I do admit that I rely too much on the scale but that is something I am working on daily.

                  Well I'm still bloated but only know this because of the scale. So I'm not that worried about it. I know it's PMS creeping in.... wish it would just get it over with!

                  So with that I'm just not that motivated right now to do much. Though I have a ton TO do (don't we always!?)

                  Got to go and feed chickens...

                    Just wondering if I can join the STAC?? I started Atkins in 2005 and continued this WOE until July of 06.. lost 81 pounds. (198 was my starting weight) Well, I got down to 117 and everyone was telling me I looked sick. SO.. I went off Atkins and now I am back up to 160. My sister in law just had a B-day and the pictures of me made me realize I HAVE to go back on Atkins. I haven't started any exercise program yet but plan to start walking as soon as it gets warmer around here. I was very strict the first time around and plan to be that way again.. Although I do have one Sugar free energy drink just to get me going in the morning.. But am good after that. I have been drinking ton's of water and using fit day. Wish me luck!

                      Morning! It's only a four-day week for me, as vacation starts on Friday. I can do this!

                      Feeling good. My skin looks so good when I do this woe. And my hair is so shiny. That's nice to wake up to, no?

                      Yesterday evening, after 10 hours of sitting at the computer doing university coursework, I gave myself the full body treatment. Exfolliated my whole bod. Slathered on self-tanning moisturizer and lay down for an hour. Took a shower and washed hair. Put in a deep conditioner and let it sit for 1/2 hour. Rinsed off and put lemon-scented moisturizer all over. Then a face masque. Rinsed that off and put moisturizer on. I felt soooo good! Gotta do that every now and then.......

                      Today I hope to get the stitches out in my hand. I was too late on Friday, and the nurse's station had closed by the time I arrived at Kaiser, so I had to wait. No biggie. But the sooner they come out, the sooner I can do upper body free weights again!

                      I'm off to have a nice day. Got a yummy bag of food to last me until 5: spaghetti squash, pumpkin, almond pudding, cucumber with blue cheese dressing, 2 turkey slices. Can't get better than that!

                            Welcome MiMom, of course you can be a STACer! Good luck and we're all here for you as you jump back on the wagon!

                            Sheepie-- Your experience reminds of the time I found chocolate hiding at the bottom of my coffee! It feels like it shouldn't count if you didn't mean to have it! They should have at least offered sweetened and unsweetened tea!

                            Zara-- Way to go on getting your friend to join the Atkins WOE. You must be doing really well if it has encouraged someone else to start!

                            Beanpole-- I feel your pain, hang in there!

                            Evermind-- Good luck with the stitches!

                              Good morning, all. Woke up feeling a little icky today... sort of an acid indigestion. Maybe it was the tofu/protein shake I had last night? I wouldn't think so, though...

                              Today is official weigh day and I'm up a pound. Grrr. But my water was down and eating was a little off this weekend. Not off plan, but just not ideal. We reap what we sow...
