if it helps give you hope, my belly went away when i hit about 160 and is nice and flat now, no pooch! i am not doing ab exercises yet. maybe yours is going to go away too!

I don't do strength training and I know I should. I can't afford a gym membership right now, can I do strength training at home? I can buy some small weights but I don't think I'd even know what to do with them! Any advice?
There's one of the best writeups I've seen on the web for a good home wellness/lifting workout.
You can often pick up exercise gear like dumbells and barbells for FREE if you hit up craigslist or your local freecycle mailing list. My wife scored an entire $2000 home gym for the cost of the gas to pick it up last year because someone wanted it gone out of their house!
