  • Oh, NOW I get it..

I've made an astonishing discovery. You ready for this? Apparently, drinking is BAD. For me. I've learned that when I drink, my judgement goes out the window. It may -start- with something okay (not that jack and diet coke is the BEST thing in the world..), but it will move on from there to a Long Island.. then beer.. then more beer.. all the while, drunken game developers are boosting my ego and my boyfriend tells me I'm so hot, and encourages me to eat a slice of pizza so I don't get hungover... ughhhh...

My question is, how much did I set myself back if I threw up most of what I ate, that night? Pretty gross question. I figure the sugar went right to my blood as soon as I ate it, so I'm not hoping for much. Really, all I wanna do right now is forget about it and get back on track. I think until I get down to my goal weight, I'm done with drinking.

Goodbye, beer. You will be missed.

Oh, Duchess, it's not fun to be that drunk! Or at least the next morning isn't fun! I think definitely give it up for now. Later maybe you can add in a glass of wine but for now leave it alone! And yes, goodbye to beer! You can do it!

To be honest duchess, does it matter how far back you set yourself? You are where you are, this is a journey that we don't always move forward on. You learned something new about yourself, and you should probably punch your boyfriend in the arm while you're at it. In all my years of drinking heavily (and there were many) I can't ever remember having pizza stopping a hangover

None of us are perfect, we'll all slip in different ways, the people here who are really successful are the ones who pick themselves up and get right back on track. Self recrimination and worry about what you did to your diet do you no good at all.

I should probably punch him in the arm for all of the crap he gives me on this diet, too. I'm not really worried about how far this set me back, anymore. It's all about moving forward. I learned a valuable lesson, and to be honest, I -NEVER- thought I had a drinking problem. I mean, I only drink once or twice a month at most, yet every time I drink I get sick drunk, and that just can't be good for me.

Dust yourself off and try again! Go on induction for a couple of days and leave the booze alone!
You can always have a few drinks later.

you will be okay...just move on. i always lose a few lb's the day after i drink due to the diuretic effect! it comes right back on when you rehydrate, but it always eases the guilt for me...
