  • HELP!! I think I screwed up my induction

    I just had pizza with the family but only ate toppings.. Which I thought was just fine because I had 1 piece of bacon, 1/2 cup ground chuck, mushrooms, onions, 8 slices of pepperoni, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese... WELL, I forgot about the pizza sauce in it. Did I totally screw up or what??

    Depends on the sauce, some have sugar in them.

    It's not the end of the world, but to do a good clean induction I'd really recommend you plan out youre ENTIRE 2 week menu ahead of time, post it here to be reviewed and vetted and it'll make isues like this go away entirely.

      It may not be the best thing to have done....

      Pick yerself up & dust off... your DANDR. Then try to reconcile just how much you went astray, so you can make compensatory adjustments over the next day or two ...

      Your total induction net carbs should be up to but not over 20g. You probably blew it on the cheese - note the max per day is 3-4 oz; of course, the 1 cup even if fluffy is likely over that. Now, not all pizzas are the same. What was IN the sauce, as well as how much sauce you ate, DOES make a difference.

      Suggestion - if you can, try to reconstruct at www.fitday.com the exact content you ate. You will get an idea there about the arbs, net carbs, and other nutritional info which you can compare to the rest of your intake for the day; if you add all of that in as well you'll know how far off you are and perhaps can be extra good tomorrow to make up for it.           Thank you all.. I am still feeling guilty but I will just start again tomorrow.. There was sugar in the sauce come to find out.. But it did say only 6 carbs
