    Good morning everyone!

    Really busy day yesterday so didn't get a chance to check in - sorry!

    We went out for lunch (ham and cheese omelet) and dinner (small salad with chicken and bacon followed by steak, half a tomato and rocket. It was great as the waitress lost 5 stones (60 pounds) on Atkins and so made a special salad and dressing for me.

    We are going for a family lunch today. A meat and potatoes dish is being served but I have said I will bring my lunch! Am taking mozarella (italian almost carb free type), a tomato and half an avocado with olive oil. Yum!

    PS What is the best time to test with ketostix? first thing in the morning? It was purple yesterday morning Am at my parents today so haven't tested.

    Good morning Zara! I posted the above from the FAQ page about when to test with the stix. It was good to know for me as I tested during TOM and had no idea why I was suddenly not in ketosis!

    How great to get a waitress who was helpful to the WOE! Good luck with the family lunch today!

    I woke up this morning and the scale says 196- That's 7 lbs down from last weeks weigh in but I think last week was a fluke as it is was 199.5 the day before and after my official weigh in! So 3.5 lbs down from 199.5 but either way I'm feeling great! I upped my fat and lowered my protein last week and it has really seemed to work!!

    On a funny note...I was making dinner last night for my BF, who is not got any fat on him at all, I was making corn and then I asked if he wanted rice as well and he said "No...I think I'm having enough carbs already..." I was so surprised! He has never ever said anything like that or cared before! I'm happy if it means one less thing that I cook that I can't eat!

      Good Morning.. I am so tired from my Saturday....but have another busy Sunday.. I am discouraged with my scales.. But I just keep telling myself...There will be a great loss next Sunday when TOM goes away..

      Church this morning.. I have to greet.. I do not like greeting.. It so takes me away from my comfort zone...

      Then left over lunch from yesterdays... THEN I am going to a Tastefully Simple party. Its a food company that has lots of spices that you can cook with. I have never been to one and have to be careful of what I eat when I go.

      Then its back to church for Youth with the kids...

      I missed 4 days of work last week but am going to attempt to go tomorrow even though I still don't feel swell... I do better once I am up and moving with this Vertigo.

          SandyL2002.. Have you tried Dramamine for the vertigo? My sister gets it really bad and takes it. She says it helps.

          The temptation of eating Birthday cake and cheesecake yesterday actually ended up being a "piece of cake" Ha Ha

            Rise and shine, everyone! I'm so sore, but it feels so good! Today is my day of rest. My body sure needs it. Church, grocery shopping and nursing a sick kid back to health are my plans for today.

              good morning! i must have had a wild sleep cause my back and neck are really hurting. owie. must have slept funny on it.

              yesterday i made this awesome delicious induction friendly cheesecake dessert thing. yum yum. it totally hit the spot. even my husband got into it. my calories were definitely up from the last few days too.

              so tempted to get on the scale yet i don't want to get my hopes up if i haven't lost anything yet. today is day 7 and i'm quite proud of myself so far. no bites, tastes, licks of illegal foods.

              anyways...have a great day!!!

                morning yall! off to run. have had a crazy week, and am stressed so not eating and exercising too much. i don't know if any of you do the same when you are under stress. it depends, for me if it is busy stress, i eat MORE, and if it is sad breakup stress, i stop eating and work out too much. so i am a little unhealthyy right now, trying to get back on track. have a good one!

                  Morning all!

                  Feel great this morning. Went to the gym yesterday - did Wave machine for 30min (5miles) and ran 2 miles doing intervals - run @ 7.5 for 1 min, walk @3.5 for 2 min. Did upper body weight training - was a nice workout day

                  Today is my day off. Hubby and I are taking the kids to see Horton Hears a Who.......Should be exciting. This is my 2 year olds first movie - don't know how he'll do. We are taking separate cars just in case

                    Great job on the workout day Coleenie!!!!

                    All is great here today! I am really starting to see a difference!! I just feel great today! I have my stability ball now but I have to wait for 24 hours to use it! I cannot WAIT to get toned though!!!

                    Today is my hot yoga day!!!!! YAY! It's been a week since I have been so low on funds...the transportation to get there can cost more than I have sometimes!! So I am excited!

                    I did cheat last night and had a teensy bit of rice and some bacardi. The rice is just because I'm having a hard time swallowing food. I've written about that in my journal but I finally do my xray on Wednesday to figure out what it is!! Thank god! Could be an inflamed thyroid or an infectino causing my throat to close!

                    Anyways...very motivated today! My goal is to hit 227.5 by Friday. That would mean 20 pounds lost on Atkins in the first month!

                      Morning, all!

                      Well, yesterday was fun. Worked on my thesis for several hours, then took a bit of a nap. Then got ready for dd's birthday dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.

                      It was fabulous. I had a salad and a burger, sans carbs, and then the 6 net carb cheesecake, which has an amazing walnut crust. I did NOT add fruit or whipped cream, which would have added another 3 carbs - no need. It was the best cheesecake I have EVER had.

                      Oh. And I couldn't find my size 12 jeans, and everything else was dirty. So I pulled out a pair I've never worn but had for several years (since my last time on this woe, when I bought them as an incentive but fell off the wagon before I got there....) and wore them.

                      Oh. And they were a SIZE 10.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
                      A stretchy jean, but they buttoned and zipped and they looked good with a shirt over the muffin top!

                      We had a 90 minute (YES A NINETY MINUTE) wait before we could get into the restaurant, so all of us separated up and wandered around the mall. Dh and I went into Bloomingdales and I found a gorgeous pearl bracelet on clearance and bought it, and then this guy sprayed me with a Marc Jacobs perfume that was so delicious, dh went and bought a set. What a guy! I felt incredibly spoiled.

                      So today, dd and I are going to Target so she can pick up a few things before her cruise (she and some friends and a chaperone are going to Mexico for 4 days) and then I'll hang out with dh for the rest of the day. Today is 10 years since the day we met, and that's a biggie. He rocked my world, and continues to do so every day.

                      Scale hasn't moved. Interestingly, since it stopped moving, I've moved from a size 14 to a 12 and now can wear at least 1 size 10 jean. Go figure! who cares about a stupid old scale?

                        evermind..i love to hear the way you talk about your guy. i have known my ernie for a little over two years but we know very soon after meeting that it was to be.....and i thank god every day for him...and he does the same....i am such a lucky girl and he knows what a lucky guy he is and life is good, not matter what...so glad yesterday was so nice....

                        sunday...we skipped church (sorry, i just could not bear the cantata today...) so we read the paper in bed and just had omelettes and now i am starting on my spring break to do list.....

                        i am feeling STUFFED! BLAH!

                          Lazy weekend for me, after my mountain climbing last weekend,,,,,, the bruises have now turned yellow and green!

                          Spent my afternoon batch-cooking meals and portioning them up for the freezer. Managed to slice one of my fingers right downt he length of the pad and it hurts like heck!

                            Sounds like a lazy Sunday for everyone!

                            evermind....what a WONDERFUL time!

                            We dragged our rears to bed and made it for communion...funny, we can skip Sundays and lose count of when we were last there and always end up on communion Sunday. People must be thinking "They probably only show up for the bread and wine"....okay, it's grape juice, but still.

                            The thermometer told me I have a temperature of 101.1 at the moment...nice timing to have a cold just when I finished the term and begining spring break.

                            So far so good with the food....I have no appetite and nothing sounds good. Exercise is out today because of not feeling well though. I have big plans tomorrow, so this darn cold better hurry up and go away.

                              Darn I posted this whole long post and my computer froze up and so it didn't post! GRRR! Anyway it's 6pm. and I'm first reporting to roll call today. It's gonna be this way for the next two weeks, going back to work for the Spring Break holiday along with my classes and two shows I'm in.
