    Something strange has happened here at work today! Usually my coworkers try to sabotage me constantly by bringing in sweets and then making a big deal about it when I say no! But this morning I said no to some really nice looking chocolate from Harrods and no one made a big deal then later in the day they were talking about how nice the chocolates were and how good I have been not to have any. They seemed really impressed that I'm changing my eating habits and not just in the way anymore(finally!). Hoorah! Hope it lasts!

    Meanwhile, I never though it was odd before starting the WOE how many cakes and sweets end up in the office kitchen! And then because we don't want it to run out before we get some everyone takes a piece when they first get in so everyone is eating chocolate or cake at 9am! That's not healthy at all!

      Mornin!

      The scale made me happy this morning - down 1 lb - yippee!

      Last night, I did 40min on the Wave machine and followed it up with Yoga class. Today, it's cleaning up and heading back to the gym for Boot Camp class tonight!! This class is seriously butt kicking - I love it! Talked to the instructor yesterday, and it's circuit trainng today, so I will rollerblade for 45-60min before class just to get my cardio in.
      Hubby has a poker tournament tonight, so it's me and the wild chitlins - nothing but excitement!

      Hope everyone has a positive, legal, awesome day!

        Oh, hi! There you all are! We slept in and I'm just starting my coffee here.

        Shaunawa - NO NUTS! That is causing the cravings. Not until OWL, girlie. Not until OWL. You know better than that! <grin>

        Zara - I'm envious of you going away on your vacation. 'Course, I feel like I live in paradise here in S. California, but your holiday sounds lovely too.

        AP - awhile back I wandered into the staff lounge and my aide and the janitor were digging into a huge chocolate fudge cake. Our janitor looked guilty and said "let's put this away" and my aide said "Are you KIDDING? YOu could shove it in her face and she wouldn't eat it. NOTHING budges her!" I hadn't realized I was so firm......and that it was recognizeable.

        minimom - welcome to the reason we moved from Michigan to San Diego 8 years ago............that white stuff is just too gross.

        So today is a relaxing day with nails at 4:15 and a solid workout thereafter. Dh and I are enjoying our time alone.

        Scale hasn't changed in, gosh, at least a month, but I have lost another 9 inches, so this is not a stall. I think my body hovered at this weight for a good several months on the way UP, so it's natural that it would stay here on the way down. I'm not going to worry until I get a full month of solid exercise in - I've not done a ton of upper body resistence training this past 4 weeks, and also cardio has gone from 40 min to 20 or 30 on a lot of my workouts due to time constraints, which no longer exist.

          Hi everyone~

          This is the first time I've even seen this thread. I'm definately a STACer. plus one.

          I am working some depressing hours today.12-9. Luckily I have tomorrow off.
          It's rainy again in MI and I am readddyy for spring. I have seasonal depression, so I'm optimistic about the next few months..

            Okay okay - no nuts! But I am having snacking issues. When I get home in the evening and finally have the kids in bed - I want to snack. Since I am on induction and should not have NUTS what can I have? Some tell me to just cut myself off at six and be done. If only it was just that easy.

            I stepped on the scale last night and it hasn't moved. But the hubby said I was being unrealistic. I am sure this is true.

              day 2 of the straight and narrow! Things are good, so far...Rode the bike 5 miles pretty darn early this morning, and just came in from a sales pitch, hoping to stir up more business....nothing like introducing myself around...Slipped on cute clothes that still fit good and off I went....I forget I've lost weight, and then I walk up on a full length piece of Glass and am always soooo surprised!

                Hi All!

                Just got back from my throat x ray etc etc! So the results should be in next week! YAY!

                All is good here!! Did hot yoga last night. It was at least 5 to 10 degrees hotter than normal. It was very challenging and awesome!!!!!

                Eating on plan is going okay but tiny cheats here and there b/c it's about all I can keep down. I need to up the water though!

                  shininstr984.. It is suppose to snow here in Michigan. YUCK! I agree I am totally done with this nasty weather.

                  Evermind... LUCKY!! We lived in Florida for 5 years but I got homesick and moved back to Michigan. I sure do miss the sunshine.

                  Beanpole.. Your pictures are awesome. I can't wait to look like that in a bathing suit.

                  I hope everyone has a great day! My 2 week induction weigh in is Sunday and I can't wait to see what I have accomplished.

                    Tough day today. I'm on my second day back on induction and I'm famished. Yesterday I had the following:

                    Breakfast
                    3 eggs, fried in 1 tbsp. butter

                    Lunch
                    6 oz. pork roast
                    1 cup of broccoli, sauteed in 1 tbsp. olive oil and 1/2 tbsp. butter

                    Dinner
                    1/4 lb. ground beef with 1/4 cup shredded cheese and 2 tbsp. sour cream
                    4 oz. swiss cheese
                    a few pork rinds

                    I probably had too much cheese - 4 oz. are about 400 calories alone - but I wasn't all that hungry last night, by the time I finished. I'm hungry today, though. I'm finding it tough to resist hopping over to Wendy's for fries and something on a bun, or over to the Chinese joint. These first days are tough.

                    I also need to get back to the gym. I didn't go yesterday, so I've now not gone to the gym for two-and-a-half weeks. Ridiculous.

                        The first couple days are always tough. But you can do it! When you get those cravings for fast food just drink lots of water. (works for me) Giving the kids Lucky Charms in the morning is my downfall. I didn't work out the first few days on Atkins but when I did.. Wow! I noticed a huge difference. Try to get back in the gym or just do some simple exercises at home. Good Luck and Welcome Back.

                          Feeling good today! A friend of mine is gonna come over after work and we are gonna go shopping for workout clothes and then work out. I'm excited

Packed my lunch and snacks, chicken wings, celery and ranch, hb eggs, a sf jello cup and a diet dr pepper. Gonna drink lots of water and get a walk in on one of my breaks today. Dinner is NY strip steak and brocollini and then hitting the treadmill for a quick workout! Hope everyone is ready for a great day!!!!

                              Hi guys,
                              back from our vacation in Lake Havisu... was slightly disappointing due to the unusually cold weather on Sunday and the winds on Monday... couldn't boat both days, but we got creative and had fun anyways. Bowling on Sunday, then the boys said they wanted to fish... so we left them on the edge of the lake while my dh and I hiked. Gorgeous wild flowers everywhere. Next day we hiked down Saras Gorge... an amazing 5 mile round trip with large cliffs over head and tight stream bed to hike through... just gorgeous! We did boat Saturday and Tuesday... and now we're home again hard to believe.

                              Started the no sugar challenge on Sunday. I feel like I'm on such a different diet than when I started Atkins.Back in the beginning I was consuming so many products then that had artificial sweetners. I thought it would be hard to not have a diet soda on the boat. but water was fine. I had an assortment of herbal teas with me too...in place of my coffee addiction. Sometimes it's the place that kicks in a memory of good times associated with certain foods... ie. coffee, sodas, etc... but I did fine... but did over do a bit on legal foods. Not enough veggies. Glad to be home now so I can cook better. Vacations are hard especially with teenage boys to feed... all they wanted was illegal. Sometimes I had to cook two seperate meals... one for them and one for me.

                              But, I still have another 2 weeks left of my vacations... yeah! Today, I'm cleaning house and getting ready for dd's bf whose coming to visit for 3-4 days tomorrow... kinda nervous.

                                Have some healthy fats, a mozzeralla stick, a hard boiled egg, some pepperonis with a bit of cheese on top in the microwave is yummy too
