  • Little things...

It's the little thingst that I'm searching for every day to get through to the next. And this morning...I found it making my mock cheese danish. Normally, I would have just mixed up the mess, put it in the microwave, and let it go. Not today.

I got out a fancy shmancy littel soufle' cup, sprayed it, tossed in the ingredients, and then put it in the microwave....then....I watched it. No, I didn't put my face up to the door of the microwave...I like my eye sight, thank you. But, I did watch the egg mixture grow bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. It was so pretty just all fluffy and perfect that I didn't want it to stop cooking...but I did, and it deflated. Normally, it would be really sad to see. But this time, just knowing that I could get excited to see something so pretty and I would have missed it if I had decided to stuff my face with bagels, cereal, waffles, and doughnuts instead.

So, I hope you find your little "mock danish" today, whatever it is that make smile and go forward to the next.

    Re: Little things...

Thanks for reminding all of us that it's the small moments, the tiny events, that make life rewarding. Success is made up of the way we respond to those small moments, and what we bring to the times when there is no change.
    Start date: 7/29/2007

I love to drink my water out of a pretty wine glass with a slice of lemon or lime on the rim! My kids think I'm nutz.. but it helps me. I AM special and if I don't treat me a such, how can I expect other to??

I try to use fancy smancy stuff whenever possible, too. We do eat with our eyes first.

I was waiting for you to say it got bigger and bigger and then boom! That is what happened to mine a couple of weeks ago. I made my daughter one and it was fine and I put mine in and it blew up all over my microwave. I guess the oven was preheated so to say cause I put mine in for the same amount of time and BOOM! What a mess!
