  • I can't restart, whats my problem????

I am so stressed out because I can't seem to re-motivate myself to get back on track....I had been going strong for three months and the Easter attacked!!! So today was my restart date and what did I do???/ Yes I ate a caramel pretzel klondike bar I just don't understand it. I felt so good with all the weight I lost....Now I'm just throwing all my hard work and dedication out the window...ANY suggestions are warmly welcomed ....

How about just taking it day by day. Or even hour by hour. Rather than thinking in long terms say, "I can just get through this hour. All I have to do is make it through this hour" Also, make sure you have legal food with you at all times. So when the caramelly monsters sneak up you can shield yourself with a hard boiled egg and a cheesestick

Aloha! I've been there. At this stage it is a 'mental' thing. You need to really psyc yourself to get back on board.

      I have a few tips.
ONE: do a pure induction. As a second timer, I'm often tempted to think that I can take up where I left off which is way up the ladder into a maintenance version with more carbs. You need to go through a pure 20 carb limit, veggies only, version to get your body recalibrated. If you have been off a week or so, then 2 days induction will do. If you have been off longer, you need to do a full 2 weeks.

TWO: Tell yourself that this is a carbohydrate addition. You need to kick it cold-turkey. Partial does not cut it.

THREE: If you are out of ketosis, then there is a tendency to think.. I might as well have that klondike bar before I get back into ketosis. STOP. You will make every excuse to do a minor cheat and you know that blows the ketosis. But you are still back on #2... an addition.

FOUR: Pick a good start time. Try to be a bit more flexible and free from stress. You need to be calm and well rested to do well on induction. Don't pick tax time (oops, right around the corner). Don't pile Atkins on top of an impossibly overstretched agenda.

      Hope this helps

I was so where you are just the week before last... What I did was just take it one meal at a time for a whole day... If I got the sweet craving I ate some meat.. BEEF works well for the cravings.. Just keep strong and 1 day turns into 2 and so on....

Yep, you have to detox again. There is a suppliment that really helps some with cravings, L-Glutamine. Taken 3 times a day, can help curve the cravings. Check it out in the book.
