  • Possible stall - advice please!

    Hi

I am joining Party and some others with insomnia! It's 4.30am and I am typing a question on ADBB!!

I have always had a funny weightloss pattern - usually lose small amount for three weeks and then have a whooshie on the fourth (after TOM).

Last month, I lost 4 pounds but missed the whoosh

I was on holiday and although I was extremely careful about my food choices (to the point of being a bit boring!), I guess I could have eaten hidden sugars/breadcrumbs as I didn't prepare the food myself. This could explain why I have stayed the same.

I am now on rung 5 and am thinking should I stay here or should I drop back to try and get things moving again? If you drop back do you jump back up to your previous rung when you start losing again?

I know after the initial loss you can stall for a while and my clothes are feeling looser but I could do with seeing some loss - however small!!

    Any advice would be great.

Should have said, last weight loss was on 19 March with a loss of 1.5 pounds.

I know it's not a real stall until you stay the same for three weeks and don't lose inches but I just wondered what you are supposed to do eating-wise.

Am back off to bed now but will log on again in a few hours time x

Zara.. One thing you could do is post a menu...and let us see if there is some area maybe you should try cutting back.. Once I have lost my initial big loss.. I usually go 5 days maybe lose a lb... Back up again.. and down again.. And then one day it stays down..

It gets so frustrating when it does that..but it does come off...

Weight loss is not linear and you cannot count on your weightloss pattern to remain the same. As your hormones balance out you are less likely to see big whooshes after tom. Also, sometimes you gotta changthings up. Explore different menus, give your body something to have to think about. I know it makes no sense but it does seem to work.
