  • Question about sweets?

    Hey everyone,
I've started my 6th attempt on Atkins today (weeee!) this time it's going to work because my mind is ready.

Anyway, I have a question about some food. I've read the book and I just want to know what you all think about gum when on Induction?

Whenever I'm on atkins I get huge sugar cravings and I was aslo wondering what you all do when craving? I'm on Induction so I know there aren't a lot of options but if anyone has any ideas let me know! Thanks!!!

    Re: Question about sweets?

Well you are allowed 3 servings of sweetener a day. So i would say you could choose to use those on gum should you like to. One thing about atkins i like is the cravings go away after the first couple weeks

      Hello Mrs. Fink ,
You can get the supplement L-glutamine and take it to control an "irresistable" craving for sweets. It totally works! Begin with a 200 mg capsul or tablet three times a day for one week. Then increase the dose to two capsules or tablets three times a day for one week. If you feel more alert, more energetic, and have lost the craving for sweets; you can then experiment with the amount of L-glutamine you take until you find the best level for you.
