Good morning STACers. First of all let's all rally round Zarabelle, her Father is in the hospital in ICU, not doing very well right now. She is strong, but stressed. We send our prayers, and good wishes to you and your Family, Zarabelle!

The support for each other that goes on and on around here is amazing. I am so proud to be a part of such a group. I think you tend to form a group of like-minded people who are on the boards when you are. I've spent almost 2 years here with a few great gals. We have all walked many parts of this journey together. Cheering on weightloss and new exciting athletic adventures. 1 of us has run a marathon, 1 a few triathlons, another is now training for a marathon, 1 of us has met almost everybody in person, 1 has done a half marathon down in miami with a fellow ADBB'er. 1 lives probably with in 15 miles me and ran with me. Our little group stretches from California, (Betsy) to Montana (Julie) to Tampa (Joy) and all parts inbetween like here in Atlanta (Adena) and PT in Arizona~
You will find a billion posts from each other in our journals. That's where we spent a whole Thanksgiving weekend going back and forth 2 yrs ago. That's where we keep up and call each other back!

Many of you are forming friendship around our like-minded committments to better our bodies and lifestyles. We cheer each other on, and look for one another when some are missing, like where is Sandy and Evermind!
Things like this are what this board is all about. Supporting each other and making it to our goals.
It's easy to write about a goal and broadcast your intentions and it's very hard to get there! But we walk together, many of us, and we stumble around and some times we disappear, but we are always welcomed back because that's what we do around here!

      Re: Wed Roll Call4/30

Good morning everyone! What a week this has been. So I'm going to talk about it all

Monday - 2 steers and 3 sheep were to be picked up to head off to the butcher. My job was to get the 3 sheep in the trailer so the guy could pick them up. No biggie, usually feed makes animals stand there and haltering these guys wouldn't be a big deal. No such luck - got 1 in and then got stepped on by a 500+ lb steer. UGH! So had to stop working and get my boot off. Got X-rays and it's not broken but being on the top of my foot stinks as walking CAN cause a possible break and no shoes fit. So now I am in search of one of those hot looking boots to go on my foot so I can walk around.

Monday night - I got to have my own pity party and I did make my husband go and get me Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream (though he came back with frozen yogurt) and I ate the entire thing.

Strangely enough I've had no weight movement - and I'm just frustrated at this point. Luckily my husband doesn't go back to work until Saturday afternoon so most of my chores can get done by him (though he's a little tired of all the stuff he's had to do)

      Have a great day everyone!

Well, Yesterday I did spinning in the morning (ouch I got the biggest charlie horse) the last night pilates. Today I am going to do The Transfirmer and tonight turbo kick (kick boxing class) I am excited to try it out.

I hope everyone has a great day

            Re: Wed Roll Call4/30

Good morning all. Jess, this was a great start to Wednesday. Thank you.

Zarabelle - my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I noticed something about myself that I wanted to share. When I began this WOL back in January, I had all the expectations of being strict and reaching my goal pretty quickly because when I commit - I COMMIT. Wanting it just doesn't cut it anymore. Yes - I've been successful, but I haven't been true to this WOL for weeks. I haven't stayed on plan like I should. I developed a "this won't hurt me" mentality. Well, almost three weeks later, I haven't lost much weight, if any. The exercise has dropped off. I still have so long to go to reach that point of knowing that this is truly a way of life for me and not just a short term fix. I have people at work looking to me for support now because they have started Atkins because I was doing it. How can I be a big supporter and cheerleader if I am not doing this correctly? So, I spent quite a bit of time on the boards lately just reading and reading. I am truly touched by the stories and know that I can do this. I don't want to struggle with weight. It is so difficult to get my head around all of this. I realize how quickly I can go in the other direction. Just like many here, I am a work in progress. I don't know if I'll ever see myself as thin. I recommitted yesterday and ate clean. Today is day 2 of re-induction. I am only taking this one day at a time. I don't want to focus on a month from now.

Happy Wednesday to all of you! 'Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!' Have a super Atkins day!

            I KNOW I CAN...I KNOW I CAN...I KNOW I CAN!!!!!

"Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!"

100 ounces of water a day!

Great pep talk Outback Jess! Real friendly. Makes a person real comfortable to be here!

Zarabelle- lots of positive energy coming your way-good luck!

Chicamarun--get strong and get going! good luck with your boo boo! (I work with kids!)haha

Having a fabulous week, I felt like I was doing some fat burning yesterday at work, and sure enough the scale showed it! WHOOhooo!! Wednesday is weigh in day...........that was a thrill, but most of all I feel different. It is amazing how well I feel and it is only a few pounds! Keeps me motivated. YOU all keep me motivated!

I grilled a tupperware full of meat on Sunday, and made taco meat to put into small containers in the freezer................I am eating like a king! So handy to have the food ready to heat up and eat OR to eat cold..........................

              Things are good here.................

                Re: Wed Roll Call4/30

Jess, great post! I haven't checked in here in awhile, and I'm glad I did today!

I was just thinking how amazing it is that we're still here after 2 years. No, I haven't reached my goal yet, but I've never given up and I've always remained true to Atkins.

Tonight I'm off to the gym to do 7.5 miles to get a rough estimate on my time for that distance. I have my second race this weekend--The Bloomsday in Spokane--and when I registered I'd said I'd finish it in 1:20! We shall see...it looks like there are some TOUGH hills on the course!

On Sunday I ran my first race ever, a 5-mile race called The Ice Breaker, and finished in 51:30. I never claimed to be a fast runner. So I'm looking forward to this weekend, it's going to be quite an event!

Food has been good, exercise has been good, water has been good. I'm trying to work on portion control. I've been very busy with classes--I now teach 5 classes per week (yoga and strength training), so that added in with my own exercise, full-time teaching, after-school tutoring, and before-school rehearsals and events makes for LOTS of full days!

Anyway, have a great day STACers!

                  Morning all!

Glad to hear our STAC'er pals in Virginia are ok

Feeling groovy this morning - Yesterday, I ran a couple miles - trying to build up my speed. Also did stairclimber for 30min at 10= 3 miles. Followed it all up with upper body resistance. I did manage to hurt my back a bit, on lat pulldowns. Tis OK though, I'll live

Today is bootcamp class. I'm going to try and get in at least 30min hard cardio before class. Other than that - cleaning, shopping, etc.. are on the agenda today - so exciting - GAG!

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!

                    Aloha!

Thanks for the uplift Jess! Coming here is a comforting way to start the day.

I think I'm going through a transformation. It is not quite showing in the way my clothes fit or the #on the scale. But I'm getting reproportioned.

My face and arms and legs feel more muscular and less fatty. My waist still has a far way to go.

Now if there were only a way to keep the fat in my bust!

                      Evening STAC'ers,
Today was a good day. I'm showing trace signs of Ketosis so that's good. Hopefully that will become even more soon. I'm on day 3 of not cheating after my gross splurge over the weekend. I'm still not as energized, I'm working on it though.

The weather has been gross so I haven't been walking which isn't a good excuse because I have a treadmill....

Thanks for your post Jess it was really comforting and it came at the right time. As I'm sure you all know I cheated over the weekend and I've been really kicking myself hard over it, your post just really uplifted me, thanks a lot Jess!

Hope you all are doing well!
